“I Am Singer” Makes Music Industry Cheer On Their Feet

i am singer

The new variety show, “I am a Singer” which is about 7 top class artists performing live and competing amongst themselves is gathering attention from not only the viewers but the other people in the music industry.

Lots of the singers and variety PDs were skeptical about the show because it dealt with competition and survival amongst Korea’s top singers. However, the first episode was enough to change everyone’s mind.

Yoon Jong Shin and Kim Hyung Suk, who both produced Park Jung Hyun’s songs some time in the past, revealed what they thought about the show through their twitter.

Yoon Jong Shin wrote “I am a Singer.. How in the world did they gather the best of the best.. I hope these singers will take over the weekend variety programs.”, “Age of the singers.. It’s almost here.. It’s here again” and also said “I first thought it was a futile attempt.. But I now.. Support them all the way” showing his support for the show.

Kim Hyung Suk wrote “I thought ‘I am a Singer’ was another copy of the popular audition programs but I was so touched while watching the show. The best can shine even in the worst conditions. I think the staff of the show believed that they can shine no matter what and stuck through. I was fully absorbed.”

Other than these two, Super Junior’s Shin Dong wrote while the show was airing, “I am watching I am a Singer.... I always wanted to see these singers on TV again!!^^ I am so nervous for everyone! I want to become manager too!” When the show ended, he wrote “Thank you... I cried!! The show is very good! I will be looking forward to the next episode!”

god member Denny Ahn wrote “I got goosebumps when Park Jung Hyun was singing. No one on this show is the best or worst. They are all great!”

The show, which was once regarded as a definite failure has changed the viewers’ thoughts to a huge success, and fans are interested to see if the show will be able to change the idol oriented music industry to a more live and vocal oriented industry.
