[ASKKPOP] 10 Beautifully bizarre MVs that keep us hooked on K-Pop

K-Pop is full of glitter, confetti, and everything we don't understand. You know it, I know it, we all know it. Sometimes, the quirkiness of it all is taken to another level and we're left with a whole lot of'what is going on here?' Strangely enough, despite all its craziness that K-Pop and their MVs bring, we're still hooked to this beautiful mess.

Check out the 10 beautifully bizarre MVs below that keep us hooked on K-Pop!

Big Bang "Monster"

As expected from this veteran group,Big Bang's "Monster" has beautiful cinematography and impressive effects that has us hooked. The concept is, however, strange and out of the ordinary especially when you see our precious boys in their outrageous monster gear (i.e.Taeyangand his kimbab roll hair). The flawless camera work definitely makes up for it though.

HyunA "Red"

What exactly is the concept here?HyunAis the goddess of monkeys and the center of attention amongst party people. Overall, yes, "Red" falls under the 'sexy' category. However, the schizophrenic scenes in the MV had us all wondering where the idol was going with this. Not that it makes a difference as to how much it kept her fans captivated throughout it all.

Block B "Jackpot"

Known for their insane and nightmare-inducing concepts,Block B's "Jackpot" was full of scenes that you'd only see in thriller movies as MV starts off with the boys in clown masks. Thanks to various thriller movies, YouTube pranks, and Ted Bundy (even K-drama 'GapDong-ee'), children of the 21st century know clowns as notorious antagonists to avoid like the plague. Even when we know that behinds those chilling masks are our harmless Block B boys, it's definitely one of those bizarre concepts that we don't want them to repeat anytime soon.

2NE1 "Come Back Home"

2NE1is definitely making their way back 'home' with their most recent MV "Come Back Home." Set in the apocalyptic-like future Seoul, the girls of 2NE1 is strangely mesmerizing despite their outlandish concept as the insurgents of a supposedly utopian society. As a girl group promoting in Korea, 2NE1 makes bold statements through fashion, music, and in basically every concept that they take on.

VIXX "On and On"

VIXXis one of the few boy groups who focus heavily on having one concept and sticks through it each promotion. However, that doesn't mean that it always makes 'sense.' As prisoners, the members are put into cannon rockets to save the damsel in distress in space. It's unclear what the MV is trying to relay, but as with every other VIXX MVs, the shiny lights, creative choreography, and the member's unique color lens choices keep us mesmerized.

SHINee "Married To The Music"

Keyget his head cut off,Taeminloses his eyes,Onewhas his nose stolen from a monster from the sink, andJonghyungets his lips stolen by a damsel after throwing up confetti. Nothing makes sense and just like the album title, the MV is amazingly odd. Perhaps the word odd may be an understatement…

Lee HI "Rose"

Lee Hiis a rose, an alluring thorned rose surrounded by her fellow rose friends in this beautifully produced MV. The only downside to this MV is that the angles and scenes change every second resulting in a painful aftermath.

CL "Hello Bitches"

This is as unconventional as it gets for K-Pop and it's perfect thatCLis the one to have done it. After various trial and errors working with non-Korean cinematographers and producers, CL made a strong solo comeback with "HelloBitches" and it had our brains all wired up in ways that we didn't believe it could, in a good way.

ZICO "Yes Or No"

It'sZico, but it's not Zico. Zico is everywhere in this trippy, animated MV that goes beyond our imaginations. Nothing makes sense, but it definitely has us screamingYesthroughout it all.

GaIn "Fxxk U"

This one stirred quite a ruckus when it first released as does every other MV thatGa Inreleased after. From steamy rendezvous in the tub to roughhousing around the room,Joo Ji Hoonand Ga In gives quite a performance in the MV as an overly passionate couple in a toxic, love and hate relationship.
