[ASKKPOP] 2PM's Taecyeon says 'JYP is honest' amidst sajaegi controversy in industry

2PM'sTaecyeonis making headlines for sharing his personal thoughts along with a link of an article regarding therecent sajaegi controversies. He wrote on his Twitter, "They say everyone does sajaegi (chart manipulation) but no one will admit they do it. I keep suggesting that we get on the bandwagon but the company says no kekeke.JYPis honest. kekeke."



If you haven't heard or know already,sajaegiis the direct manipulation of the music charts by assuming illegal online identities torepeatedlystream and download their artists' music to increase their ranking on charts. The people that partake insajaegihave come to be known as 'music chart brokers.'


Recently,sajaegibecame a big issue afterJTBC's 'News Room' raised the suspicionthat several big agencies have been manipulating the music charts.


After the reports,YG Entertainmentreleased a statement that went, "We are glad this issue is being addressed and are willing to help to investigate the cases,' and not too long afterwards, Taecyeon posted on Twitter that "JYP is honest."
