3 Reasons we’re in love with My ID is Gangnam Beauty’s Eun Woo
My ID is Gangnam Beauty is the most-watched romantic comedy. It reflects the hard truths of beauty, which is relatable, and Do Kyung Suk, played by Astro’s Eun Woo, may be the most feminist male character in K-drama land! Scroll down to find out why we can’t help falling in love with him in My ID is Gangnam Beauty!
1. Everyone but Kyung Seok and Mi Rae knows he’s into her
Do Kyung Suk (Astro's Cha Eun Woo) has never been in a relationship, and it shows in the way he acts around his crush, Kang Mi Rae (Im Soo Hyang). Everyone in the chemistry class seems to know that he’s interested in her. But Kyung Suk is clueless and probably doesn’t even know what crushing on someone is supposed to feel like. Mi Rae is in denial since she doesn’t believe it’s possible for someone to be interested in her.
2. He’s so tseundere
What you see isn’t what you get. Kyung Suk looks so cold and detached, but he’s warm-hearted and never typecasts others. Similarly, he cares so much about Mi Rae but pretends not to.
3. He’s brutally honest
Kyung Suk doesn’t like Soo Ah (Cho Woo Ri) at all and isn’t afraid to show. His bluntness doesn’t come off as rude since Soo Ah is the mean one beating around the bush to put Mi Rae down.
And if you thought actor Cha Eun Woo and his character Do Kyung Suk are nothing alike, think again. “Kyung Suk and I are both honest,” Cha Eun Woo said, adding that he focused on Kyung Suk’s mannerisms to appear more like the webtoon version of the character.
