49 Days Episode 14
The Scheduler (Jung Il Woo) sees the picture that Yi Kyung (Lee Yo Won) points to.
“This..is me… Right?”
Yi Kyung (Lee Yo Won) says that the Scheduler and Song Yi Soo are the same people. He can’t remember anything until his job is done. The Scheduler (Jung Il Woo) says that he looks like someone else to the people he knows. The Scheduler yells at her to leave. With confused thoughts, he calls his elder to ask what he will receive after completing his task.
But all the Scheduler (Jung Il Woo) gets in return is shouting from his elder. “It’s because someone noticed me~~”
In the address of Song Yi Kyung (Lee Yo Won) found by Jin Young, the people that lived there has moved and she had a boyfriend who died. The information that he found shows that she only stayed in her house and used up all the money she had and even her social security number has been locked off. Min Ho (Bae Soo Bin) thought that Yi Kyung (Lee Yo Won) said that she was friends with Ji Hyun (Nam Gyu Ri) because Yi Kyung
In Jung (Seo Ji Hye) met with Min Ho (Bae Soo Bin) and found out that Min Ho really loves Yi Kyung and tries to get him back by crying. She then leaves after declaring that if Min Ho (Bae Soo Bin) ends up with Yi Kyung (Lee Yo Won), she will tell everything that happened to Ji Hyun’s father.
In Jung is looking through the internet café for any more information on Park Jung Eun. In Jung (Seo Ji Hye) finds that Park Jung Eun died 1 year ago.
At Han Gang’s office, he is looking for the last contractor, Park Seung Jae, but he is having zero luck. He suspects that Park Seung Jae is from a paper company and is looking to find who it is.
Yi Kyung finally returned to the restaurant after a few days off. As she says hello to Han Gang (Jo Hyun Jae), he takes a call from In Jung. At that moment, a letter drops from Yi Kyung and Han Gang picks it up.
Han Gang (Jo Hyun Jae) reads the letter and finds out that she plans to tell the truth to everyone and finally kill herself.
Han Gang quickly runs into his room. Coincidentally, In Jung comes in to visit Han Gang but he is nowhere to be found in his office.
There is a letter on his desk.. It is written in Ji Hyun’s handwriting. In Jung quickly makes a photo copy and walks out with the copy.
On the way out, In Jung meets Han Gang. Han Gang just leaves and In Jung returns to her house to compare the handwriting. The handwriting is the same and so is the overall diction of the letter. In Jung is very surprised.
Han Gang tells Ji Hyun’s father that if Ji Hyun’s soul cannot return, she may still be watching from the hospital room and that if he was Ji Hyun, he would gladly give up his life so that his father can receive surgery. With this, the father starts to slowly have a change of heart and Ji Hyun’s mother looks pleased.
Min Ho visits the mother’s hospital room. However, he is hiding and looking at her from a hidden spot. He silently lets the tears flow.
Yi Kyung goes to eat with Min Ho and while eating, she finds out the date of Min Ho’s mother’s birthday, January 10th, 1952. She quickly goes home and puts the year book back into its original box. That’s when she finds that her bag has a hole in it.
Yi Kyung sits down. Ji Hyun is asking if Yi Soo is dead even though Yi Kyung can’t hear her.
However, at that precise moment, Yi Kyung gets up abruptly and looks around as if she heard something.
Next day at the coffee shop, the Scheduler (Jung Il Woo) is staring at Yi Kyung. To Yi Kyung, the Scheduler looks like a fat man with round eyes, who is stealing glances at her. The man orders a café mocha and waits for it and that’s when the man’s eyes and Yi Kyung’s eyes meet.
Once the coffee comes out, the Scheduler gets it and leaves. Yi Kyung is staring at him strangely. Scheduler notices that she can’t recognize him…..Does this mean they know each other?
There is only 19 days 4 hours and 29 minutes left. Yi Kyung, while fixing up the hole in her bag, realizes that the letter is missing. On the envelope, someone wrote “whoever picked this up, return it to Min Saeng Hospital room 507.”
“What if father read the letter?” She imagines the necklace breaking and the scheduler showing up to take her back. “I told you not to reveal yourself. Let’s go Shin Ji Hyun.” Yi Kyung has a hard time just imagining this happening.
Ji Hyun’s mother brings in the letter, saying that the nurse picked it up. Ji Hyun’s father reads it and realizes that it is Ji Hyun’s letter. He is deep in thought in his office… Did Ji Hyun really do it…
In Jung is asking the landlord of Ji Hyun’s house about Park Jung Eun. In Jung hears that she must have been close to Ji Hyun if she knew that Ji Hyun’s mother did not drink beef broth. In Jung thinks that Yi Kyung seems more and more like Ji Hyun. What is going on?
Ji Hyun’s father finally agrees to receive surgery. Han Gang receives word of this and is extremely happy. However, he is worried that he might have read Ji Hyun’s letter.
Yi Kyung visits the hospital and asks about the letter. Ji Hyun’s mother says that the restaurant owner came a few days ago and persuaded the father to receive surgery.
The mother continues to say that Han Gang seems to like Ji Hyun and mentions the roses that he keeps bringing. Han Gang calls Yi Kyung and tells her that there is an emergency at the restaurant. Yi Kyung runs out of the hospital after yelling out “thank you” many times. In Jung sees this and asks the mother if Yi Kyung heard about the surgery. She then touches Ji Hyun’s hands and feels something.
When Yi Kyung walks in to the restaurant, she is told to quickly change. Han Gang hurriedly tries to return the letter he found to her bag but Yi Kyung sees him do this and hides. When she looks inside her bag again, she sees the letter there.
Yi Kyung quickly runs to the Scheduler and asks what she should do since Han Gang read the letter that explains what happened and who she really is. The Scheduler says that the necklace won’t break if humans find out who she is without her deliberately giving them hints. Yi Kyung asks why the Scheduler is bothered so much by her appearance. The Scheduler tells her that since his time is almost up, his human emotions are returning. He then yells “I don’t know!” and disappears.
Jin Young comes in to Min Ho’s office and hands over Yi Kyung’s address. Min Ho then hands over a bag full of cash to Jin Young. Han Gang tells Min Ho to reject any will even if the surgery goes wrong. Han Gang tells Min Ho that he knows about Min Ho cooperating with Hyuk San, and Min Ho gets mad at him, asking if he was the one investigating into his past.
Min Ho then says that the reason for him doing all those things is to change the environment by himself, and that the people were just extremely unlucky. “Have you ever started off the day getting beat when you were 4 years old? I couldn’t be happier when my father, who just stole all the money my mother made and used it on gambling, died when I was 13. At least I wouldn’t get beat even if I did bad things at night.”
“Why should I be sorry for them then? They were just as unlucky as I was. At least Ji Hyun and her family were lucky enough to eat well. Then who do I complain to? To God?”
Han Gang vows to stop Min Ho and that there is no right for him to make innocent people suffer.
Yi Kyung finds out that Han Gang likes Ji Hyun. And In Jung believes that she has been possessed by a ghost. In front of Min Ho’s house, In Jung is shivering. She says that she has a favor to ask from Min Ho. In Jung shows Min Ho, the letter that Ji Hyun wrote. In Jung asks Min Ho to find out of Yi Kyung is Ji Hyun.
Yi Kyung goes to Min Ho’s house. He changed his passcode. Min Ho calls Yi Kyung to ask her to eat lunch with him. Min Ho looks at Yi Kyung’s shoes; it’s familiar.
He takes her to a department store, and buys shoes for her. He tells her to throw her old shoes away but Yi Kyung says “I really really like these shoes.” Min Ho is surprised because that is how Ji Hyun talks.
He notices that the marbles on those shoes are identical to the marble he found outside the hotel. He then realizes that Yi Kyung was outside the hotel at the time.
In front of Yi Kyung’s house, Yi Kyung walks out. She passes my Min Ho. He calls out to her, “Yi Kyung.”
Yi Kyung stares straight back at him without any emotions. “Yes Min Ho.”
