49 Days Episode 15

 “Song Yi Kyung!” “What Min Ho.”

 “What are you doing here? Who are you?” Yi Kyung (Lee Yo Won) looks scared after saying this and yells “Go away!” She turns around and is shaking in fear.

“Who are you? Do you even know me?” Kyung Bin walks in and asks what is going on. Yi Kyung says that she doesn’t want to talk to Min Ho and he leaves.

She says “I knew his name even though I don’t know him. I saw him during my hypnosis treatment and I don’t have a good feeling about him.

Kyung Bin asks “Do you remember when we met yesterday in front of your house? You didn’t recognize me at all. I think you have a second personality inside you. I think the death of someone close to you affected you and made you get a second personality.

Yi Kyung (Lee Yo Won) says “No that’s not it. Someone is living with me. I don’t think she’s a ghost though. She feels pitiful and sad. I felt that she really worries about me. This was the first time I felt something like this since Yi Soo. This feeling that someone truly cares. My mom left me in front of Choon Chun Station when I was 5. She said that she was going to change my brother’s diaper and never returned.”

 “I was crying the first day I entered the orphanage. That’s when a boy approached me and gave me chocolate. He told me that my name from then on was Yi Kyung. He was the leader in the orphanage since he was there the longest and because of him, I was able to get rid of my sadness. We became like brother and sister just because we were abandoned by our respective parents. We were like that for 18 years. Then, Yi Soo left me, he died 15 days after that. I wasn’t ready to let him go and I still had questions to ask.”

 “I was able to forget that my mom abandoned me with Yi Soo’s help but after Yi Soo abandoned me, I had no one to trust. Since no one wanted me anyways…”

The Scheduler (Jung Il Woo) hears this and is crying.

 ‘I abandoned her? What is going on? I’m crying….’ He doesn’t understand why is he crying after hearing this story.

Kyung Bin asks if getting comforted by a ghost is really the right things to do. Yi Kyung (Lee Yo Won) says “It’s not… but It was. I was scared and confused but I felt that she needed me just as much I needed her. I couldn’t think of coming out of my house.”

Kyung Bin leaves the coffee shop and Min Ho (Bae Soo Bin) decides to follow him.

Yi Kyung’s house. Ji Hyun (Nam Gyu Ri) is worried that Kyung Bin might have found out. She wonders if Yi Kyung (Lee Yo Won) received the hypnosis treatment because of her. Ji Hyun (Nam Gyu Ri) looks weak.

Min Ho (Bae Soo Bin) is staring at the ground while walking. In Jung (Seo Ji Hye) is waiting for him in front of his house. She immediately asks if Yi Kyung (Lee Yo Won) is Ji Hyun (Nam Gyu Ri). Min Ho angrily says that she isn’t Ji Hyun and tells In Jung that he needs to sleep to go to the hospital for Mr. Shin’s surgery the next day.

In Min Ho’s house, the picture of the engagement with Ji Hyun (Nam Gyu Ri) is missing. He picks up the picture frame and throws it on the ground. “How can you be Shin Ji Hyun!!”

13 Days, 4 hours and 29 minutes left.

Ji Hyun (Nam Gyu Ri) is waiting for Yi Kyung (Lee Yo Won). Yi Kyung comes in and looks around. Ji Hyun asks if Yi Kyung can sleep early since tomorrow is her father’s surgery date.

Yi Kyung ends up sleeping without even changing her clothes, Ji Hyun (Nam Gyu Ri) is smiling thankfully.

Next day, Yi Kyung (Lee Yo Won) runs out of her house. Han Gang (Jo Hyun Jae) is waiting outside. Yi Kyung (Lee Yo Won) is surprised, “I’m not going to the restaurant today.”

Han Gang tells her that he also isn’t going to the restaurant either. He asks her to go with him to the hospital for Ji Hyun’s father’s surgery. Han Gang also says that he doesn’t like Yi Kyung pretending to be Min Ho’s girlfriend.

Ji Hyun’s mother thanks Yi Kyung for showing up on the day of the surgery. She says that she wants Yi Kyung to visit often when Ji Hyun wakes up. Her father also says that he wants Yi Kyung to take care of Ji Hyun’s mother as well.

Yi Kyung asks if she can hug Ji Hyun’s father once. She hides her tears and leaves the room.

Outside, Yi Kyung (Lee Yo Won) is crying hard. Han Gang (Jo Hyun Jae) is trying to cheer her up. Han Gang tells her that he will notify her the moment the surgery is over and tells her to return to the restaurant.

Min Ho, who just arrived, sees Han Gang trying to cheer up Yi Kyung. Min Ho approaches the two of them and asks Han Gang why he is trying to comfort Min Ho’s woman. Yi Kyung stops crying and is observing the situation.

Min Ho says that he will take Yi Kyung to the restaurant. Ji Hyun asks Min Ho to take her back. Min Ho takes her by the shoulder to take her to the restaurant, and Han Gang is infuriated.

Yi Kyung overhears that today is the day that Han Gang’s mother passed away. Yi Kyung is very thankful to Han Gang since he is giving up his mother’s death day and is staying at the hospital for her.

 Ji Hyun’s father goes into the surgery room and there is an awkward silence between Min Ho (Bae Soo Bin) and Han Gang (Jo Hyun Jae). Min Ho leaves saying that he has work to do and Han Gang follows suit; only Seo Woo is left.

Han Gang is talking to someone about the Hae Mi Island project. Han Gang has to find the contract with Hyuk San but the person says that there is no way to find it.

Yi Kyung walks back to the hospital but slightly brushes against a man who looks like he’s been through rough times.

Suddenly, they look at each other. Their necklaces are the same. The man sees the tear inside Ji Hyun’s necklace and asks how she got the tears.

Yi Kyung says that she thought she was the only one in Seoul, and the man says that he came from Dae Jeon to see his friend but the friend already died.

The man says that he worked at a construction site during the day and didn’t stop looking for his friends but so far, no luck. He says that he only has 1 day left.

Yi Kyung asks about the wounds on his face and he starts hitting his head. He says that the man he is inside right now is the reason why he is in a coma. Ji Hyun tells him that she only has 13 days left and he says that she will start to lose her strength and have a harder time coming out of the body.

 She gives the man some money to go to a public bath since he says that he will go see his family for the last time. In Jung sees this happen and approaches the man. She tells him that she will give him all the money he wants if he told her who Yi Kyung really is. The man says that if she helps him live, he will give a 7 story building in Dae Jeon.

Outside the surgery room, the tumor has been removed but the doctor says that he would have to regain consciousness before knowing for sure if the surgery went well. Han Gang tells Yi Kyung that the surgery went well and asks her to a meal. Yi Kyung tells him to go to his mother’s grave but Han Gang (Jo Hyun Jae) says that he can just do that at night.

At the restaurant, Han Gang pours a glass of wine that his mother used to like. They clank their glasses and Han Gang is talking about his mother.

When Han Gang was young, he didn’t like his mother because she ran a wine bar. He believed that she was cheating on her husband by talking with various customers that visited. He also thought that the divorce a few years later was because of his mother.

When his mother suddenly closed down her bar and moved, he felt even more betrayal at his mother. He said that his mother told him to go to his father and live with him, hiding the fact that she was in the last stages of cancer. He says that all she left behind was the piano; not leaving a single photo of herself.

Yi Kyung tells him that she probably didn’t leave a photo of herself so that he doesn’t blame himself for what happened. She also says that the piano was all she had left so that is why she left it.

Min Ho is looking at Yi Kyung and Han Gang from outside the restaurant and is angry. He turns to leave but In Jung is looking at him. Min Ho is thinking about the discussion he had with Kyung Bin. How he said he thinks he knows who is inside Yi Kyung.

Yi Kyung asks Han Gang why he keeps saying he feels indebted to Ji Hyun. He says that he secretly bought plane tickets to go to his father but he couldn’t go since he sprained his ankle because of Ji Hyun. So he then made fun of Ji Hyun all the time at school and that made him enjoy school more. He also mentioned how he was bothered by how he rejected the birthday soup that his mother prepared for him but because of Ji Hyun, he was able to enjoy the soup. The thing he feels worst about is how he couldn’t say sorry to her at a certain festival. He then shows Yi Kyung Ji Hyun’s bracelet. Ji Hyun can remember the birthday soup incident.

Ji Hyun sees Han Gang and his mother arguing over the soup and Ji Hyun takes the soup from his mother after Han Gang leaves and forces Han Gang to eat it.

The mother tells Ji Hyun that he is a good boy and hands over the bracelet that her father gave to her when she entered college. Han Gang’s mother says that she intended to give the bracelet to Han Gang’s future girl friend.  Ji Hyun wants to tell him that his mother gave her the bracelet but she just can’t.

In Min Ho’s house, In Jung asks if he suspects Ji Hyun to be inside Yi Kyung and that is why he was looking into Han Gang’s restaurant. In Jung asks if he just wants to believe that it isn’t Ji Hyun or if he really loves Yi Kyung. Min Ho yells that it isn’t Ji Hyun that is inside Yi Kyung’s body and that Ji Hyun isn’t someone who can pretend to love someone.

Han Gang on the other hand, is following Yi Kyung to a coffee shop. He believes that he hasn’t been found  yet.

Ji Hyun goes to her father’s hospital room and is waiting for her father to wake up. The father can hear Ji Hyun calling out to him and wakes up. He can slightly see Ji Hyun’s face and starts to cry.

Ji Hyun is walking home since the bus has ended its services. The Scheduler approaches her on his bike. Ji Hyun smiles while saying that her father is alive but the Scheduler seems to already know this. Ji Hyun asks why he didn’t tell her even though he knew, and he says that he didn’t see her father’s name on the list of the dead people that he gets every 10 days. The Scheduler says that he will take her home on his bike.

Ji Hyun is already putting on the helmet and jacket. The Scheduler says that the past life determines the current life and the current life determines the future life. Ji Hyun says that she hopes the Scheduler’s next life is good but the Scheduler says that it doesn’t look like it will be.

In Yi Kyung’s room, Ji Hyun is talking to Yi Kyung. She says that in 12 days, she will feel the same kind of regret that the man earlier was feeling if she didn’t repay Yi Kyung for her help.

At In Jung and Seo Woo’s house, In Jung is sleeping on the sofa. A phone call comes for In Jung and it’s from “Mr. Kang.” In Jung tries to take the phone call in her room but Seo Woo forces her to take the call in the living room. When In Jung tries to go into her room regardless, Seo Woo finally realizes that In Jung is going out with Min Ho. They start fighting.

 Han Gang is extremely happy when he hears that Ji Hyun’s father has gained consciousness. He is thinking to notify Ji Hyun but Yi Kyung is already standing outside. Han Gang tries to tell her but Yi Kyung says that she already knows and walks in. Han Gang sees that she brought breakfast for him. It is his favorite breakfast; toast, eggs and strawberry milk. Did Ji Hyun ever meet my mom?

Min Ho orders Jin Young to stop investigations on Yi Kyung. When Jin Young leaves, he calls Mr. Jung and says that it is time to launch the project.

In the hotel coffee shop, Yi Kyung met with a hotel worker who recognized her and is asking about herself saying that she can’t remember what happened in a certain time period.

Yi Kyung and Yi Soo both came to work and after 6 months, left saying that they will become singers and when Yi Soo died, Yi Kyung passed out. The box that she prepared to leave the hotel job is still at the hotel management. She receives the box.

At the coffee shop, In Jung’s face is a mess since she was beat up by Seo Woo. She says that there will be no way Min Ho would leave her unless Yi Kyung got married to him. In Jung tells Yi Kyung that the reason for this meeting is to tell Yi Kyung why she did such a thing to Ji Hyun. Ji Hyun was In Jung’s best friend but In Jung’s father got in an accident right before she entered college so she couldn’t enter. Ji Hyun stepped in and talked to her parents and In Jung was able to go to to college.

When Ji Hyun missed her lessons to go to a part time job for In Jung since In Jung couldn’t make it, In Jung’s mother called out In Jung. Ji Hyun also tactlessly came out to hang out when In Jung was on a date with her boyfriend, and in the end, In Jung’s boyfriend fell for Ji Hyun. Ji Hyun still didn’t realize that they reason for In Jung breaking up with her boyfriend was because of Ji Hyun.

Because Ji Hyun gave everything that In Jung wanted, In Jung felt so bad for taking everything that Ji Hyun gave. That is why she decided to steal Ji Hyun’s fiancé, and her father’s company. When In Jung tries to leave, Yi Kyung says that Ji Hyun really loved In Jung. In Jung replies that she really loved Ji Hyun as well. In Jung then walks out and watching Ji Hyun cry. 

At the part bench, Yi Kyung still thinks that In Jung’s reason for all her actions are not justified. She then looks into the box. Looking at the notepad, she sees Yi Soo, who is sleeping while resting on some woman’s shoulders. Angry, she calls up the Scheduler.

When Yi Kyung goes to the Scheduler she immediately accuses him of breaking up with the woman in the notepad because he was cheating on her. She then says that the Scheduler’s passion is due to this woman and not Yi Kyung. Scheduler yells that it isn’t and starts to cry while staring at Yi Kyung. “Yi Kyung!” Yi Soo thinks that the person he is talking to is Yi Kyung and not Ji Hyun.

Yi Soo’s hand is approaching Yi Kyung’s face. His face is full of tears and Yi Kyung is surprised.
