49 Days Episode 16

 “No I’m not Song Yi Kyung (Lee Yo Won) What is wrong with you?”

The Scheduler says “Song Yi Kyung… Why is your face like this~ Yi Kyung~” The Scheduler is crying while looking at straight at Yi Kyung.

“Hey, I’m not Yi Kyung remember? I’m Shin Ji Hyun (Nam Gyu Ri)” that is when the Scheduler (Jung Il Woo) returns to his senses.

He takes a look at the picture again and says that it is the first time he’s seen such a picture.  

Yi Kyung (Lee Yo Won) is asking if Yi Soo does music because he likes it or because he wants to look good to girls.

Yi Soo (Jung Il Woo) says that every woman that comes to the practice room is related to the other members of his group and not him.

Yi Kyung says “Just because you say you’re not related, doesn’t mean you really aren’t related.” In her hand, is the photo in question.

Yi Soo says “I am getting tired of you. Why haven’t you changed since we were children?”

Yi Kyung runs out after hearing this.

Yi Soo is waiting outside the hotel. When Yi Kyung comes out, he doesn’t tell her that he will be busy performing for 2 weeks and just leaves after seeing her face.

At the construction site, Yi Soo is working hard. He performs at night and works at the construction site during the day. He’s been at it for 2 weeks. After work, he goes to the jewelers and asks for a couple ring to be engraved with “S Love K.”

Yi Soo (Jung Il Woo) is on the way to Yi Kyung when the ring is about to fall off and he manages to grab on to it. “HONK!”

A large truck is coming straight for his motorcycle. After the accident, Yi Soo falls down to the ground while bleeding from the head.

As his memories of Yi Kyung (Lee Yo Won) flash before his eyes, he tries to move his hand to grab the ring but he can’t move.

The Scheduler says that the photo was taken while he was sleeping. He can’t take the memories he just remembered and calls his elder for help.

The Scheduler is about to ask what is going on when he hears a summon. He tells Yi Kyung to be careful and disappears.

At a psychic’s house, the psychic is telling In Jung that there are cases where the ghost can follow someone for the rest of the person’s life due to sins in the past life. The psychic tells her that she has to get rid of the ghost right away. In Jung (Seo Ji Hye) immediately searches for the documents Yi Kyung sent while making the will and asks the post office where they sent the documents to.

Han Gang (Jo Hyun Jae) is thinking about whether or not he should make sure if it is Ji Hyun (Nam Gyu Ri) that is inside Yi Kyung (Lee Yo Won). He keeps thinking back to the times that Yi Kyung would grab her necklace whenever Han Gang would approach her with certainty that she was Ji Hyun.

The necklace was definitely tear shaped.

Yi Kyung walks in. She says that she wants Han Gang to keep the box that contains her stuff from the hotel. Han Gang takes her to his room but Yi Kyung notices that Han Gang can’t keep his eyes off of the necklace. He asks her about it. He asked her where she got the necklace since he doesn’t remember seeing that necklace ever and she says that she got the necklace when she submitted her letter of resignation.

Han Gang says that he went to Ji Hyun’s hospital room and cried. Yi Kyung starts to cry because she is touched. “Why are you crying?” Seo Woo barges in all of a sudden and asks the relationship between Min Ho (Bae Soo Bin) and In Jung (Seo Ji Hye).

Mr. Jung leaves after discussing business plans with Min Ho. One restaurant employee is watching Mr. Jung leave. He follows Mr. Jung.

Han Gang decides to investigate JC Company. His contact says that he should familiarize himself with Yi Kyung just in case he has to tell everything to Yi Kyung later after Ji Hyun leaves her body. Han Gang came to pick up Yi Kyung. Yi Kyung picks up a phone call from Min Ho. Min Ho tells her to come to the parking lot immediately.

Han Gang tells Yi Kyung not to go to Min Ho but she says that she will just send him back and return.

Min Ho asks why Yi Kyung hasn’t quit her job at the restaurant yet. She says that there’s a person that she likes in the restaurant. Min Ho seems to be on the verge of tears, “Why did you do this to me? You said you liked me…”

“No, I never did. And don’t call me anymore.” She turns to leave but Min Ho grabs her. At that moment, Han Gang shows up and tells Min Ho to not think about seeing her ever again.

 Han Gang tells Min Ho to never visit the restaurant as well. He is about to let Yi Kyung go into his car and Min Ho says “Was it Ji Hyun? The person you needed to find so bad that you would go from America to Korea.” Han Gang says “There were times when I used to discuss things like that with you…”

Han Gang tells Yi Kyung not to walk around alone at night and that he will take her home anytime she needs a ride.

She says she’ll be happy to get a few rides from him since she only has a few more days left to see him.

Min Ho is drunk and goes into his house. Passcode is now 1108.

At Yi Kyung’s house, Ji Hyun is softly talking to Yi Kyung, “the Scheduler remembered you. I heard why you are living the way you are from Song Yi Soo.”

Surprised, Yi Kyung turns her head in Ji Hyun’s direction. Yi Kyung then acts as if nothing is wrong and turns her head back.

Ji Hyun says that Yi Kyung was loved. Yi Kyung wonders how Ji Hyun knows about Yi Soo.

Yi Kyung comes out and Yi Soo follows. The light that was turned off turns on automatically when Yi Kyung steps in the beam’s radius.

Yi Soo follows her to the coffee shop and looks like he is about to cry. “I’m sorry…”

All of a sudden, Yi Kyung looks like she is in pain and clutches at her chest. Han Gang rushes into the scene asking if she is okay. Yi Kyung seems somewhat surprised that Han Gang doesn’t realize her but she just takes the order as usual.

In Jung is in the corner silently watching this whole scene. It seems weird to her that the two of them don’t seem to know each other. Yi Kyung is staring at In Jung who is staring at Han Gang.

At Yi Kyung’s house, Ji Hyun is leaning on the wall because she is getting weak. The Scheduler drops in and tells her that his wish was to meet Yi Kyung with Yi Soo’s body. Ji Hyun asks if it is okay to meet Yi Kyung now that he remembered but he says that he can’t reveal himself while on duty and the only reason he remembered is because Ji Hyun kept visiting him with Yi Kyung’s body.

 He then ask Ji Hyun to take care of Yi Kyung’s body and Ji Hyun says that she is trying.

In Min Ho’s house, In Jung comes over to visit even in the early morning. Min Ho doesn’t approve but he makes breakfast for them. In Jung believes that even if Yi Kyung wasn’t Ji Hyun, Min Ho wouldn’t have been able to hook up with her. In Jung also says that none of that matters and Yi Kyung is Ji Hyun.

Min Ho asks how she knows such facts but In Jung just says that it isn’t important. What is important is that Ji Hyun is hiding her true identity to approach him. Han Gang also knows that it is Ji Hyun.

Seo Woo tells In Jung to leave the house. In Jung says that she will tell the truth and says that she did it because she was jealous of Ji Hyun but is mad at her because Ji Hyun still gets to have everything even if she’s stuck in a coma. In Jung says that Han Gang has liked Ji Hyun since he was in America and since Yi Kyung and Ji Hyun are friends, Han Gang is taking care of her too.

Yi Kyung is sitting on a bus bench and is writing the names of people to write thank you letters.

Suddenly, she gets this thought that if the tear drop was Han Gang’s then she can get another tear drop from Seo Woo. When she gets to the bakery, Seo Woo says that she didn’t like the fact that Yi Kyung didn’t say that she was friends with Ji Hyun.

Han Gang and Ji Hyun’s mother are happy when they hear that the father can be discharged from the hospital within the week.

Han Gang asks for the recipe to  make the seaweed soup. Ji Hyun’s mother says that she already made some soup because it was Ji Hyun’s birthday. Han Gang asks for 2 bowls of soup.

In Han Gang’s room, he tells Yi Kyung to hurry and has the soup and dinner prepared. Yi Kyung eats it. This soup tastes just like the one that Ji Hyun’s mother makes. “Happy birthday Ji Hyun.”

They both agree to talk more comfortably since they’re only 1 year apart and Yi Kyung says that she wants Ji Hyun to wake up so that she can know how hard Han Gang worked while she was lying in bed.

Min Ho goes to Yi Kyung’s house and tells the landlord that if she can kick the person living in the house out, he will pay her 3 times the monthly rent.

Min Ho calls Yi Kyung and tells her to come to the front of her house. They go for dinner together and Min Ho suddenly says “Ji Hyun? It’s nice to know you are still alive. But don’t you think you should return to your own body?”

Yi Kyung is very surprised at this. She quickly says “I’m Song Yi Kyung.” But Min Ho is sure that it is Ji Hyun. “You are Shin Ji Hyun in Song Yi Kyung’s body. Did you meet me as Song Yi Kyung or as Shin Ji Hyun?”

“I’m obviously Song Yi Kyung so I met you as Song Yi Kyung.”

“Then you should have continued to pretending like you were Song Yi Kyung. Running away like that basically yells out that you are Shin Ji Hyun. You have a special reason why you can’t say you are Shin Ji Hyun right?”

Min Ho then yells at Yi Kyung, “What is the reason for approaching me?!”

Yi Kyung is scared and runs away.

She runs to the Scheduler. She tells him that Min Ho found out but he tells her to pretend that she isn’t Ji Hyun.

He yells at her why she gives away so many hints and entangles herself with so many people.

She then retaliates by yelling at him. She says that the Scheduler shouldn’t look at her with those eyes because she isn’t Yi Kyung. She says that she is also a victim of this and asks who made her to be in this situation. She argues that the person also needs to be punished for what she did. Scheduler then weakly says, “She probably did get punished…”

Suddenly, Ji Hyun remembers what the old man said and thinks that Yi Kyung was the reason she tried to kill herself. “Did Yi Kyung force me to suicide? You made me enter the body of someone who tried to kill me?”

She starts to pull her own hair out but the Scheduler stops her from doing so.
“Hey is this your hair? This hair belongs to my woman.” When Yi Kyung stares at him with angry eyes, the Scheduler looks apologetic.

Ji Hyun asks for at least a little bit of understanding. The Scheduler is the only person that Ji Hyun can talk to but the Scheduler doesn’t want to see her because she is in the form of his old girlfriend.

Ji Hyun says “This person is the person that caused me to die but I’m starting to like her. I am Shin Ji Hyun. Don’t worry about what I do with Yi Kyung and don’t show up until I call for you” and she just leaves.

In Yi Kyung’s room, Ji Hyun is crying while yelling at Yi Kyung why she has to beg for Yi Kyung to live. Yi Kyung is surprised and stares at the ceiling. She is about to eat her ramen again but Ji Hyun hits her hand. The force of the slap causes Yi Kyung to lose grip on her chopsticks.

She can see Ji Hyun. She jumps up and asks “what are you doing?” which shocks Ji Hyun.

The landlord barges in and tells Yi Kyung to empty the house within a week. She is absolutely dumbfounded. She then walks outside when Ji Hyun says that she is sorry.

At the coffee shop, Min Ho is waiting for her. He tells Yi Kyung that he knows her past as a hotel employee and suggests that she go to a pension that is in Pusan. He says that he has no choice but to put Yi Kyung in trouble if she keeps lending her body to Ji Hyun.

Ji Hyun is waiting for Yi Kyung who hasn’t returned even though the sun is up on the next day. She fears that Yi Kyung isn’t returning because she is scared of Ji Hyun.

Kyung Bin also agrees with the idea that Min Ho suggested, saying that it is a better choice since it doesn’t require a special treatment and there is nothing else to do if the spirit tried to live within her body for the rest of her life.

Yi Kyung is deep in thought.

She returns to the house to look for Ji Hyun. She sees her and says “please… leave” Ji Hyun says she’s sorry but she leaves because Yi Kyung asks her to leave again.

Yi Kyung locks the door behind Ji Hyun and Ji Hyun starts to lose more strength. When the landlord lady comes in, Yi Kyung has a bag full of her stuff. She asks the lady to clean the rest for her and leaves.

Ji Hyun is asking the Scheduler what she should do because Yi Kyung is about to leave.

Scheduler says that he can’t help her until the time limit is over. He tells her that neither of them can break the rules unless Yi Kyung died. Yi Kyung runs out, Ji Hyun follows, and the Scheduler is gone. 

Yi Kyung takes off in a taxi without Ji Hyung. Han Gang sees this and tries to call Yi Kyung but her phone is off.

Han Gang notices that Yi Kyung doesn’t seem like Ji Hyun so he goes to her house and hears from the landlord lady that Yi Kyung has left. Han Gang is running around the block yelling out Ji Hyun’s name. Ji Hyun is running towards a bus stop with her last remaining strength.

Ji Hyun collapses right in front of the bus stop.

Yi Kyung purchases a train ticket to Pusan.

The train is leaving.
