49 Days Episode 17

Han Gang (Jo Hyun Jae) is looking hard for Ji Hyun (Nam Gyu Ri). While doing so, he calls the taxi services and asks if he can track down the taxi that took Song Yi Kyung (Lee Yo Won).

Ji Hyun (Nam Gyu Ri) is lying down on the ground. The Scheduler (Jung Il Woo) comes and asks if she knew where Yi Kyung was going before running. Ji Hyun somehow remembers the lip movement of Yi Kyung in her taxi and says “Seoul Station.”

Han Gang (Jo Hyun Jae) also goes to Seoul Station after finding out the taxi’s destination. The Scheduler (Jung Il Woo) and Ji Hyun (Nam Gyu Ri) also arrive in Seoul Station and the Scheduler (Jung Il Woo) says that this is the farthest that he can go to help her. He says “bring back Yi Kyung” and Ji Hyun nods with confidence.

Han Gang finally finds Yi Kyung after searching for her all over the train. Ji Hyun finds him and just board the train that he is in. The train leaves the station and Han Gang comes to sit in front of Yi Kyung, saying that he has something to ask her. He says that he is looking for someone and that Yi Kyung can bring her back.

She says “I know, but why do I have to give up my body to a ghost?” Ji Hyun sits down next to Han Gang and is crying while asking for forgiveness. Yi Kyung can hear Ji Hyun’s voice and is looking around.

Yi Kyung (Lee Yo Won) can faintly see Ji Hyun (Nam Gyu Ri) who is pleading for 10 more days. Ji Hyun is saying that she will die if Yi Kyung doesn’t help her out.

Ji Hyun says that even if Yi Kyung doesn’t want to give 10 days, she would like 1 day to say thanks to her family and friends. Yi Kyung soon starts to cry at Ji Hyun’s plea.

In the end, Yi Kyung gets on Han Gang’s car to return. Yi Kyung says that she has experienced and felt some of Ji Hyun’s memories.

The Scheduler tells her that since Ji Hyun no longer has the strength to move about during the day, she would only move around during night. At Yi Kyung’s house, Yi Kyung says “I am sorry. I will let Ji Hyun use my body for 10 days. Han Gang is waiting outside and Ji Hyun, who is in Yi Kyung’s body comes out.

Yi Kyung tells him to leave since she has something to do in her house. She says that she will go to the restaurant tomorrow.

Yi Kyung is at the market shopping for groceries. The Scheduler joins her in shopping. She asks if she can do what Yi Kyung suggested and the Scheduler says that it is up to whoever is supplying the body.

Yi Kyung returns home and is making food. The dinner was made by Ji Hyun for Yi Kyung.

With a note saying that she always wanted to do this for Yi Kyung, Ji Hyun is smiling in front of the table. She says that Yi Soo told her about Yi Kyung’s favorite dishes and Yi Soo pretended to like the dishes since Yi Kyung would say it was too expensive.

Yi Kyung looks surprised. She can remember how during her school days, Yi Kyung would have to work to support herself in school and how Yi Soo would bring her lunch. The lunch always consisted of the side dishes that she liked.

Ji Hyun tells Yi Kyung that the pictures of Yi Soo were taken without him knowing and she can’t say anything more. Ji Hyun asks that Yi Kyung should just wait a little bit more.

In Jung (Seo Ji Hye) comes to Yi Kyung’s house. She is surprised when she sees Yi Kyung leave for work and she calls Min Ho (Bae Soo Bin) telling him that Yi Kyung is back in Seoul and that Han Gang was also waiting for Yi Kyung.

At the coffee shop, Yi Kyung tells Kyung Bin that she got rid of the soul that was possessing her. Min Ho walks in. She tells him that the soul possessed her since she usually slept during the day. Yi Kyung says that she will work during the day instead of during the night.

Yi Kyung (Lee Yo Won)tells Min Ho that Han Gang thinks of her as Ji Hyun since he doesn’t know if it is Yi Kyung or Ji Hyun that is in control of the body. She says to stop threatening her and to return her old room. Min Ho just says “Ji Hyun was copying those eyes of yours. It was definitely the look you have right now.”

In Jung (Seo Ji Hye) is waiting in front of Yi Kyung’s house. Yi Kyung tells her to come in and In Jung asks her what Yi Kyung really wants. Yi Kyung tells her that if she was Ji Hyun, she would probably follow her for the rest of her life and In Jung is very scared.

Ji Hyun and Yi Kyung talk throughout the night. Ji Hyun is worried about the company. Yi Kyung asks if she isn’t worried at all about Han Gang and Ji Hyun says that she is worried and want to interact with him more but since she is unsure if she can come back alive, she can’t give him false hope.

Song Yi Kyung goes to Min Ho’s house. She enters her birthday and the doors opens up. The safe’s passcode is Min Ho’s mother’s birthday. She opens the safe but nothing is there.

She turns around, surprised, and Min Ho is there. Min Ho pushes Yi Kyung asking if she is Ji Hyun or not and in the process, Ji Hyun gets ejected from the body. Yi Kyung finds herself in control of her by and asks Min Ho if he really loved her and if he still loves her and tries to leave.

Min Ho says “come in.” Jin Young and a small man come in. They sit Yi Kyung down and the small man is feeling for any traces of a soul. He says, “this body currently isn’t possessed by a ghost.” He then looks around and stop where Ji Hyun is at. He says “so you were here.”

Han Gang suddenly knocks on the door. The Scheduler appears out of nowhere and claims that he got a report about someone entering private property. Jin Young opens the door, thinking it is the police and while the door is open, Ji Hyun leaves.

Yi Kyung goes to Han Gang’s house with all of Yi Kyung’s stuff. She tries to go to sleep but she couldn’t so she goes out for a walk. Gang is watching her from the first floor. Yi Kyung sees him and can’t go further down. Yi Kyung comes down and tells Gang that Ji Hyun is telling her to sleep.

Han Gang is worrying about Ji Hyun and Yi Kyung says that she knows how he feels right now to comfort him. She said that he needs to let go soon since it will hurt more if he gives himself more hope.

Han Gang suddenly gets angry and says that he can’t give up hope since Ji Hyun isn’t fully dead yet. He tells Yi Kyung to never say things like that again and that he can get angry at her even if it is Yi Kyung.

All of a sudden, Yi Kyung hugs Han Gang from the back. Did she fall for Han Gang who loves Ji Hyun?
