4minute talk about the downsides of idol life
The girls came out totvN's 'Baek Ji Yeon's People Inside', and Sohyun said, "Idols receive a lot of love from students and the public when they're young. When that happens, you lose the innocence of childhood early, and you mature fast. It happened to me. I couldn't experience the things that my friends could. I couldn't go on retreats with my friends, and my friends would go eat and hang out after school but I'd have to go to practice."
Jiyoon knew exactly what Sohyun was talking about, and she added, "When I talked to my friends, our subjects were different. The way we thought were so different. I felt a bit skeptical (about the path I chose) back then. I was hurt because the things we worried about were so vastly different".
Still, 4minute managed to overcome all that and stand where they are now, so hopefully the girls have no regrets on the path they chose.
