Gong Myung is to take on the role of Ja Kyung, the bodyguard and the closest friend of Princess Jeong Myeong. Ja Kyung is a cynical character who was raised as a slave, but has a soft spot for Princess Jeong Myeong.
The actor stated to the press,"I am really nervous and excited that 'Hwajeong' will be my drama debut. I am working hard for the character and practicing for the action scenes so that I can be prepared for the filming. I want to show a good side of me to the public through this drama."
He'll be starring alongsideCha Seung WonandLee Yeon Hee, who were previously confirmed for the drama.
