[ASKKPOP] 8 Songs You Absolutely Have to Dance Along To
I personally am a huge karaoke fan (I'm Korean, it's in my blood), and what's more fun than dancing along while singing at karaoke? Here is my list of my 8 favorite songs to dance along to. When reading this article, please note that I am not a very good dancer myself (it's all about having fun right?), but huge props to the choreographers of these tracks:
T-ara - Bo Peep Bo Peep
Even if you don't know the full song, just remember the chorus. This dance is so cute, and really easy tokkabalong to. It's a fairly simple dance. I just do the following: emulate a cat moving it's paws, emulate a cat yawning and stretching one arm, two chest pumps, and then turn around and move my butt in a circle.
4minute - I My Me Mine
This song has a special place in my heart because it is a track from the first K-pop CD I ever purchased. I think this dance is really catchy, as well. It is a 2-plus person dance, though. The point movements in this choreography are (1) the tugging at the bottom of your shorts in rhythm, and of course (2) the "click, click, click, click" motions. For the latter, I typically make one of my friends bend over and then I do the clicking motion on his or her back.
B1A4 - Baby Goodnight
Although, as a girl, I'm not a huge fan of the meaning behind this song, I do love B1A4 and think this choreography is the best thing ever. I don't exactly know how to describe the dance, but it's fairly simple and a great workout. It involves a ton of jumping and twisting if you want to get in shape in a more fun way than through simple routines!
2PM - Again & Again
Again, this is a song that I normally just stand up for the chorus. The main choreography for this track is the slow-motion "running while punching" dance. This is 2PM's breakout song, and there is definitely a reason why! It's been years and I still find myself itching to dance to this track.
Girls' Generation - Genie
I had to contemplate for a while whichGirls' Generationsong to choose for this piece, but I decided on "Genie"(the crab-dance in "Gee"was a close second).I mean, who doesn't know the leg dance? It's super fun.
Crayon Pop - Bar Bar Bar
In all seriousness, even my mom knows this dance. The "wiggle-your-legs-while-wiping-off-your-sweat" dance and the jumping movements are so unique yet simple that I'm almost angry that I didn't come up with this choreography myself. It's one of those songs that you have to grab a friend to jump in harmony with.
Kara - Mister
The butt-dance is what made "Mister"such a big hit for Kara. I've seen some people look really strange trying to do this dance, though, so I'd suggest watching a tutorial before doing this in front of people. There is a right and wrong way to do this dance.
Psy - Gangnam Style
Considering this video has nearly2 billion views, I would be pretty surprised if anaskkpopreader didn't already know this dance. If you don't know it, make sure and learn the "horse dance," which helped catapult this song to fame, because "Gangnam Style" is going to continue bumping for years!
