AOA talk about how their 'status' within FNC changed after they became popular

AOAwere one of the guests on the May 20 airing of 'Sketchbook.' One of the highlights of the interview was when Chanmigave more details on when she ran away a couple years back. The girls also talked about their obscure days, and how things changed when they finally became popular. 


Chanmi said, "Puberty hit me during 'Short Hair' promotions. I ran away because I thought that this is not the right path for me. I was so thankful whenJimincame to find me." A sympatheticYoo Hee Yeoladvised the girls, "Because you're still young, it can be that you don't really know [what you want to do], and since you guys might be lacking [in certain areas], you should rely on one another."

AOA also mentioned that it's been five years since they debuted and talked about their troubled beginnings.ChoAsaid jokingly, "Two out of the five years, it was like we didn't exist. We didn't do so well," bringing laughter.Minaadded, "At the time AOA debuted, 80 other girl groups debuted. In a week since our debut, there were already more junior artists." 



Now that they're one of the most popular groups in K-Pop, the AOA members revealed that their 'status' withinFNChas changed.Seolhyunexplained that after "Short Skirt," the company started showing a greater interest in them and that they even got to have a meal with the CEO. She said, "He memorized all of our names," andHyejeongadded, "After 'Short Hair,' we did sixty events in one month." ChoA joked, "After 'Heart Attack,' Seolhyun started popping up everywhere on the streets."
