ASTRO and MAMAMOO coming soon to your Virtual Reality headsets

Calling all tech junkies! Boy group ASTRO and girl groupMAMAMOOwill be collaborating for some specialSBSVR (Virtual Reality) contents.  On January 10, SBS reported the inclusion of VR and officially began production for the project.

Groups ASTRO and MAMAMOO will be the two featured in this VR setting.  A 360° interactive stage of SBS 'Inkigayo' will be created in order for fans to become fully immersed in the idol moment.

Apart from SBS 'Inkigayo 360° VR', ASTRO has been featured in an 'Idol VR Drama'.  SBS will be the first company ever to produce VR content featuring idol groups.  Just imaginingCha Eun Woocrossing in and out of the virtual and reality dimensions, stirs up much attention for avid fans.

The biggest advantage of utilizing VR content is the user's presence and interaction.  However, it is difficult to incorporate such mind blowing features in just a short 3 to 4 minutes.  As much as people were interested and had high hopes for VR, it is still in its early stages of development.

ProducerBae Sung Woowho has 25 years of experience working with SBS entertainment shows stated,"I would like to break the illusion of 'there's not much to see with a VR headset', through this project. We hope that with VR technology, viewers can look beyond what has been presented thus far, and be ready to be immersed into the virtual universe.

Meanwhile, on January 5-8,'CES 2017,' an annual conference introducing some of the latest technological gadgets, was held in Las Vegas.  Some new products included Autonomous Driving, AR (Augmented Reality), and VR (Virtual Reality).SM Entertainment displayed an AI personal assistant device at CES.

MAMAMOO and ASTRO's collaborative VR project is set to be finalized in mid-January.
