A CONNECTED FATE AND MYSTIFYING OBJECTS ARE SET TO SPUR THE ENTHRALLING MBC FANTASY DRAMA, ITEM

Tapping 2018’s busiest film actor Joo Ji Hoon (The Spy Gone North, Princess Hours) and versatile actress Jin Se Yeon (The Grand Prince), a cryptic and thrilling spectacle will greet Korean drama patrons in January 2019.

Based on the webtoon of the same title, Item is set to explore the secrets and conspiracies surrounding objects imbibing special powers.

Penned by the writer of OCN’s 2017 thriller series Save Me and helmed by co-director of Goodbye Mr. Black, MBC’s new drama aims to depict a riveting tale, which ties up the connected fortunes of the main leads to the mystic objects that will be incorporated in the narrative.

Joo Ji Hoon takes the role of Prosecutor Kang Gon, who plunges in the mysteries of the mystic objects in order to save his beloved nephew.

Jin Se Yeon is set to portray a police profiler, who works together with Ju to unravel the enigmatic “items” they are set to encounter.

Known for her emotional roles, this time Jin will transform into a character with strong mentality and conviction to solve puzzling cases. Her portfolio boasts popular Korean dramas such as Doctor Stranger, Flower in Prison and Gaksital.

Meanwhile, Joo Ji Hoon starred in two successful films this year; Along with the Gods: The Last 49 Days and The Spy Gone North. He is set to appear in Dark Figure Of Crime plus an upcoming Netflix television production.

Kim Kang Woo (Circle, My Husband Oh Jak Doo) confirmed on September 12 that he will play the villain role in the series.
