On August 27, Hwangmin made a major traffic accident in which two large vans were standing on the shoulder of Guri-ri, Gyeonggi-do. At the time of the accident, Hwangmin had a blood alcohol level of 0.104%, which corresponds to a license revocation. Two members of the Hamm Musical Company were killed.

Hwangmin's wife, Park Hae-mi investigated all activities and demanded strong punishment against her husband. Since then, Park Hae-mi has returned to the stage with the musical 'Oh! Carol' last month, 28 months after the accident. Park Hae-mi said, "I have never forgotten the moral responsibility to those who have been injured by the accident but I will never forget it, and I will take responsibility for it.

Apart from Park Hae-mi, Hwang-min was reported to have been attending the police and acknowledging all the crimes and punishing him without appointing a lawyer. Hwangmin is now the first to be investigated by the police.

The possibility of execution of Hwangmin by the police's arrest warrant has increased even more. Hwangmin is punished severely by the specific crime punishment law as it makes people die by drunken driving. The minimum sentence is likely to be more than one year. As Hwangmun abandons his defense, heavier penalties may be imposed.

Due to the request for arrest warrants, the punishment procedure for Hwangmin is expected to proceed in earnest. In the future, what will be punished by Hwangmin in the trial will be focused on the outcome
