Audrey Hepburn Dresses 'Giver Givenchy' Anniversary

In the 1961 movie "Breakfast at Tiffany", the "Little Black Dress" of the century's beautiful actress Audrey Hepburn was captured by the public. Hubert de Givenchy, a French fashion designer who designed the dress that made Audrey Hepburn more beautiful, died. He was 91 years old. 

According to foreign media, including AFP, on March 12 (local time), Givenchy's partner Philippe Bene said that Givenchy left the world on 9th. Given that he has been living with his gay partner, Haute Couture designer Philippe Bene, in Goseong, near Paris, France.

The designer Guyvere Givenchique, who founded the fashion brand 'Givenchy', gained fame by designing feminine and chic designs from the 1950s to 1960s. In particular, his long association with Audrey Hepburn put Givenchy in the rank of a global designer. Hepburn also became famous as a fashion icon in Givenchy's dress.

In Billy Wilder's Sabrina in 1953, Hepburn appeared in Givenchy's 'Little Black Dress'. In 1961, in the movie 'Breakfast at Tiffany', Hepburn once again wore 'Little Black Dress' As the name became known, it got attention in the fashion industry. 

The top dress and gorgeous red gown worn by Audrey Hepburn in the movie "Funny Face" is also the signature look of Givenchy. Given her 40 years of experience, Audrey Hepburn's casual and movie costumes have been produced in almost every outfit. 

Jacqueline Kennedy was also made by Givenchy at the Kennedy Presidential funeral. The H line dress and coat, also known as 'Jacqueline Style' are also works of Givenchy. 

In addition to the Little Black Dress, a white cotton blouse called 'Betina Blouse' is also his signature design. It is a blouse made of cheap cotton because of lack of initial funds for debut. The blouse worn by model Betty and Grasiani quickly gained popularity and brought Givenchy as a popular designer.

Born in 1927 in an aristocratic family in Bouvée, France, Givenchy studied at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris and began his career as a fashion designer early on. After opening his own fashion house in 1951, he made his debut with the first-class model Betina Grasiani in France the following year. He worked as a designer until 1995. 

After Givenchy retired, the fashion brand 'Givenchy' was led by designers John Galliano, Alexander McQueen and Julien McDonald. Since then, Ricardo Tessie has led the resurgence of 'Givenchy' with a street-friendly concept, and Claire Waite Keller is now working as a creative director.
