BLACKPINK Becomes Fastest K-Pop Group To Hit 500 Million Views With “DDU-DU DDU-DU”

BLACKPINK has once again set a new YouTube record!

On November 25 at about 4:03 p.m. KST, their “DDU-DU DDU-DU” surpassed 500 million views on YouTube. This is about five months, nine days, and 22 hours since its release on June 15 at 6 p.m. KST.

This is the first K-pop girl group music video to achieve the feat and only the second K-pop music video overall following BTS’s “DNA.” It is now the fastest K-pop music video to reach 500 million views.

Congratulations to BLACKPINK!

Today seems like a happy day to the BLACKPINK fan community, once again the girls set a new record on YouTube officially reached 500 million views with the video "DDU-DU DDU-DU".

On November 25th at about 4:03 pm local time, BLACKPINK's DDU-DU DDU-DU MV has surpassed 500 million views on YouTube. This is about 5 months, 9 days and 22 hours from the date of release on June 15th at 6pm (local time). So with DDU-DU DDU-DU, BLACKPINK became the first Kpop girl group to reach the 500 million views of the Kpop group in the fastest time, as well as the first and only MV of the girl group. Kpop achieves this achievement, ranking only behind BTS's MV of over 500 million views.Although the MV reached half a billion views behind the DNA but BLACKPINK is still "on the BTS" on the achievement of the milestone. While "DNA" reached 500 million views a year a day, "DDU-DU DDU-DU" did this within 5 months and 10 days.

With their first mini-album SQUARE UP and their title song DDU-DU DDU-DU, the BLACKPINK girls have been reaping their own great achievements.

Jennie had the first promotional stage for SOLO on Inkigayo and won against many strong competitors such as TWICE, EXID, BTOB. , ...Debuted at the same time with the hit idolgroup, but Jennie (Black Pink) is the best performer. In recent weeks, the fans have been greeted with the return of idol group IMO, TWICE, Wanna One, Jennie (Black Pink), BTOB, etc. At the time of the big names, Kpop became very active in November.Notable here is the female rapper of Black Pink - Jennie, she debuted "SOLO" on November 12 and although alone confronted the digital "dinosaur" but seems so up to date, Jennie is the best performer.

Before Jennie debuted with TWICE and EXO, then BTOB and Wanna One. However, Black Pink members and their first "spirit child" are still rampant on the charts most strongly, while the song of the opponent is showing signs of retrogression. Many predict that, in less than two days, "SOLO" will definitely reach Perfect All-Kill on iChart (No.1 real-time and daily charts of 6 pages and iChart)

Although not many comeback, but each time back, BLACKPINK brought new surprises and new records that make Kpop fans have eyes wide open. Once again congratulate the YG Golden Girls and the BLINK community for their impressive performance.
