BTS Ranks No. 1 In 2018 Concert Ticket Sales On Interpark

Korean ticket reservation site Interpark has released information regarding ticket sales of 2018.

According to Interpark, ticket sales from January 1, 2018 to December 28, 2018 totaled 544 billion won (approximately $486 million), a 23 percent increase from last year’s total of 441.1 billion won (approximately $395.7 million).

The website’s concert category also saw an increase of 22 percent in sales with a total of 223.3 billion won (approximately $199.6 million). The information also noted that BTS’s “Love Yourself” concert held on August 25 and 26 at Seoul Olympic Stadium took No. 1 for concert ticket sales on Interpark during 2018.

Interpark stated, “We also saw an explosive response from fans allover the world when Interpark hosted the 5th ARMY [BTS’s fanclub] Recruitment event last year in April.”

PSY also made the list of top 10 concert ticket sales of 2018 on Interpark with his “PSY Summer Swag – Seoul” concert taking second place, “PSY All Night Stand” show ranking third, and “PSY Summer Swag – Busan” concert coming in at No. 5. Other artists to make the list include Lee Moon Sae, Cho Yong Pil, and Shinhwa.
