"Bad Detective" contains the story of a problematic person named Woo Tae-seok (Shin Ha-kyun)

What is the definition? A serial killer is a murderer who knows what is obvious, but there is no evidence to pass the law. A criminal who must be seen in front of another murder by the killer. Is it justice to keep the legal process in this situation or justice to prevent another murder by blocking the murderer right now?

The MBC New Moon TV drama "Bad Detective" contains the story of a problematic person named Woo Tae-seok (Shin Ha-kyun) who is a detective who catches criminals, but ignores legal procedures and even manipulates evidence as the title tells. On the terrestrial side, 19 gold, which is often not chosen, was put forward, and from the first time, the scenes of brutal crime of the psychopath appear. The murder of a brutal serial killer who pulls the tooth of a kidnapped woman and cuts her finger.

The brutal 19-gold thriller, which has already been shown on cable channels like OCN, is now somewhat accepted by viewers who are accustomed to genres. The fact that MBC set up the 19th gold thriller as the drama of the monk drama means that the base for this genre is expanding. In fact, MBC is a thriller genre in which the drama itself is a difficult time, such as the Law Penetration of Men and Women. The coincidence may be coincidental, but the <Red Moon Blue Sea>, which is now in the tree drama, is a mystery thriller.

The important thing is not to pursue the stimulus given by the brutal scene that is the 19th gold thriller, but whether there is a proper question and message to fit there. <Bad Criminal> is fully convinced of the aspect of the 19th gold from that point of view. This is because the cruel criminals must be revealed to understand why this problematic criminal called Woo Tae Suk makes such an extreme choice.

In fact, the fact that the story of destroying evil is not so appealing, because the reality that we are looking at makes the story so naive. Indeed, we have seen so much that the vast majority of innocent victims have escaped without proper punishment. That is why the story of how evil breaks down evil is not persuasive.

This is not only different from ours but also from the US and the UK. So it is American drama like <Dexter> which deals with Socio Pass hunting serial killer, and English drama like <Luther> which is the original drama of <Bad Detective>. Anyway, <Bad Criminal> comes out with scenes in which Woo Tae-seok makes an act out of the law plainly, and leaves Jang-min (Kim Gwon-woo) who tells him to live right in front of his eyes to die, but such a scene gives a strange catharsis. It is catharsis that this problematic person is privately disciplined that public justice can not be done.

In the end, however, Woo Taek-seok is bound to be a "bad" criminal. Even if he has unusual animosities and anger against serial killers and has a desire to kill them privately, he can have the chaos of his identity as a criminal. The enchanting psychopath that appears in front of him will induce Woo Tae Suk, but will he be able to root this temptation? In the end, whether it will exist as a detective or a criminal, but will be reduced to those who are no different than a serial killer. This is an interesting question that <Bad Criminal> throws. The dilemma of the catharsis of the private penalties and of the detectives that are cool, but they are the same as them. It's a dilemma we have in the anger we feel when we look into the evils of the world.
