[ASKKPOP] Bro sues label president's wife from former agency for defamation

SingerBro(Park Young Hoon), who first came into the spotlight with his single "That Kind of Guy" last year, is caught up in a legal battle with his former label, particularly with the wife of the label president.

The wife, identified as 'A', has allegedly spread false rumors about Bro and his supposed sexual relations with a younger woman from the same label, leading Bro to file a lawsuit against her for defamation.

A rep of Bro toldOSENMonday, "It's true that Bro filed a complaint against 'A' last month at the Supreme Prosecutors' Office of the Republic of Korea. 'A' had spread the falsity that Bro had 'sexual relations with a younger woman from the label,' so he pressed charges against her for defamation."

The truth behind 'A's statement has yet to be revealed through investigation by prosecution, and 'A' hasn't stepped forward with a statement of her own.

Bro has been ensnared in a legal dispute with his former label since last year. Last August, Bro declared that he was never properly paid for his debut single "That Kind of Guy" and filed a lawsuit for unjust enrichment against his former label.

Further, Bro claimed that the label had implemented an 'ilbe' marketing strategy that he hadn't agreed to, carrying out the strategy without any input from himself.

Regarding this dispute, the courts ruled last year that the label return a part of profits from Bro's debut single, amounting to 25 million KRW (~$21,000), to him. Bro's side further relayed, "Although the courts ruled to return the profits to him, Bro's former label is not budging."
