Chungha Talks About Topping Realtime Charts And First Win Promise For “Love U”

Chungha shared thoughts on her comeback in an interview with Korea Herald Pop.

The singer began the interview on July 19 by commenting on topping real-time music charts with her latest track “Love U.”

She said, “Thank you so much. I’m grateful for it and I’m trying to have more fun promoting. I can’t help but also search for reactions and I’m thankful that [fans] are really liking it. It hasn’t even been a day since the song has come out so it doesn’t feel real yet. Won’t it feel more real a week or two later after I go on more shows?”

On what she will do if she wins first place on a music show, she said with a laugh, “I’ve honestly never thought that I will be able to carry out my pledges. I am not expecting [to win].”

She continued, “Shouldn’t I decide after talking with my fans? I think that that kind of opportunity will arise if I work hard on my scheduled activities first.”

Concluding her interview with a message to her fans, Chungha said, “Dear fans, The weather is quite hot, so I hope you’ll feel cool while listening to my song. I’ll have fun on stage so you feel that way as well. Thank you.”

Chungha released her mini album “Blooming Blue” and title track “Love U” on July 18.
