City Hunter Episode 8
Episode 8 Recap:
Yoon Sung (Lee Min Ho) is SHOT! He got shot in the right shoulder, but he does not give up. He jumps down the building with his batman wire. He makes a hard landing and drives away in his car. He desperately calls for Sik Joong's help, but Sik Joong can't answer the phone. He is int he garbage truck hiding from people who are after him.
Seo Yong Hak wakes up. He insists that he should do the speech, because it's the best time to reach out to people. He will look like the defender of democracy with many enemies. He cusses at Attorney Kim Young Joo for trying to get something on him. He tells Kim to get the City Hunter instead of him.
Seo Yong hak makes a speech about how he is being attacked by the enemies. He says that only he can makes the homeland security safe enough at times like this. Jin Pyo is displeased by the round of applause of the speech.
Yoon Sung sneaks into SeHee's vet office. He takes out the bullet himself with excruciating pain. SeHee returns to her office to get something; she notices a broken window. She looks around at her operating room and finds Yoon Sung panting with pain. He asks for help.
SeHee stitches him up, but does not answer anything. Yoon Sung thinks that she has a strong heart that she doesn't ask any questions. He stays in the vet office for the night.
Jin Pyo is displeased that Yoon Sung has gone soft on the bodyguard that shot him. He should have killed before. Jin Pyo chews him out, but he still asks if he is ok and everything. Jin Pyo's genuine feelings towards Yoon Sung is really confusing.
Nana is worried about Yoon Sung not coming home. Could it be? The silhouette of the man looked just like him. Not everyone can have the tall slanky figure like Lee Min Ho! He is 6-1 6-2 I believe. That's really tall for a celebrity, and especially for a pretty boy.
Yoon Sung wakes from a dream, where Nana is aiming at him with a gun. Jin Pyo forces him to shoot at Nana for his cause. They end up shooting eachother and both are dying. Could this be a bad omen for the upcoming tragedy?
The next morning, Nana is angry at Yoon Sung for spending night out. She is angry at him like a wife being angry at her husband.
Meanwhile, SeHee comes back to the office with some clothes. Young Joo is her ex-husband, and she brought him his clothes. I thought they broke up, not divorced.
Nana just happens to walk by the office the next morning and sees Yoon Sung and SeHee together. Her imagination runs wild, and she tries to flee the scene without being spotted. A bike almost hits her and falls. This grabs Yoon Sung's attention, and Nana hurriedly leaves dropping a bag. The bag has clothes for Yoon Sung; she was worried that Yoon Sung wouldn't have change of clothes. He ties to talk to her and tap her shoulder. Nana grabs his arm and throws him with her Judo move.
She acts all jealous and nosy. Yoon Sung asks her straight forward:
"Do you like me?" says Yoon Sung.
The DA's office learns that the Blue House's IP address has been used to hack into police CCTV (surveilance camera). Young Joo quickly goes to the Blue House Network center. He will be confiscating the computers one by one over time. Yoon Sung just smiles and deletes all the trace in matter of seconds. All done with a sip of coffee.
Young Joo notices that Yoon Sung is wearing his suit. He is pissed that he is messing around with his ex-wife. Yoon Sung yells back at him, saying that he is playing with no body. He accuses Young Joo for being actually scared that he truly has feelings for him.
"At least I don't play Tall Uncle in secret like someone I know here." says Yoon Sung. So he knows that it was Young Joo that has been sending letters to Nana. How?
Jin Pyo back slaps Yoon Sung across his face. He tells him to never forget how his father died 28 years ago. He coldly mentions that he doesn't want to lose Yoon Sung as well. He cares for Yoon Sung but it just doesn't sound genuine enough.
They go on to proceed to plan for the next move. There is one problem, a bodyguard could be accompanying Seo Yong Hak at the end of the operation. Should this happen, Jin Pyo orders to kill the bodyguard. It's a collateral damage, and it can't be avoided.
Yoon Sung and Sik Joong plan to get Nana off-duty somehow. The first idea was to sprain her ankle again, but if it goes wrong he could accidentally break her foot. The second was to use laxatives, but it wouldn't look good for a girl to running in and out of the bathroom. They reach to the final idea; drop something on her head.
Yoon Sung and Sik Joong drop a flower pot on top of her head, but she is fine. They proceed to plan B. Yoon Sung puts laxatives in Nana's coffee, but she switches her drink with her partner the last second. They go karyoke together after drinking coffee. Eun A starts having stomach pain. While Nana leaves for a second chasing after Sik Joong, Da Hye starts fighting 2 girls in the bathroom. Eun A can't protect her because she has a diarrhea. Da Hye has a dog fight with the girls, pulling hair and everything. People take videos and post it up on Youtube. Nana ends up getting suspended from work for 2 weeks.
Yoon Sung first says some mean things, and Nana is pissed off. Nana sulks and looks back 10 years ago when her parents died. Sik Joong made false statements against Nana's parents. The car accident ended up being Nana's parents' fault because of his false testimony.
She says that he is the worst. He cheers her up by driving up in SL 55 AMG. (Damn) Just to let you know, import cars are a lot more expensive in Korea because of heavy taxing and bad policies.
Nana and Yoon Sung have good time driving the convertible. They park at a park and have fun drinking coffee. It starts raining, and the convertible breaks and won't close. They get soaking wet, and they go to Yoon Sung's old place.
Nana outs on Yoon Sung's shirt and she looks so cute in it. He can't his eyes off of her, and he keeps on staring while she's cooking. After the meal, she takes a nap.
Yoon Sung tries to kiss Nana, but she wakes up. She doesn't resist, but only closes her eyes. He slowly approaches her to kiss her, but the phone rings at that moment.
Seo Yong Hak demanded that Nana be his bodyguard, so she is back on duty without Yoon Sung knowing. This will be dangerous for Yoon Sung; he doesn't expect Nana to be there.
On the day of Presidential debate, Yoon Sung invades into the mixer room. He sends out the video of Seo Yong Hak making illegal arms deal. Seo Yong Hak panicks and leaves the studio. Yoon Sung quickly goes down the stairs and meets Young Joo there. He has a fight with him, and Young Joo tries to take his mask off. Young Joo fails, and Yoon Sung gets away.
Yoon Sung corners Seo Yong Hak, and Young Joo is behind him. Young Joo wants to arrest him, and Yoon Sung wants to abduct him. Young Joo calls to Nana that she should get Seo Yong Hak. Seo Yong Hak seizes Nana's gun and takes her hostage. He will fire if they move an inch. He then throws Nana off the rail and runs away. Jin Pyo watches all this from downstairs with cold look in his eyes.
Nana clings onto Yoon Sung's arm for her dear life. It had to be his injurred arm that gets her. His wound re-opens and blood drips down to his hand. How will they get out of this?
It's no question, that Nana will be saved. But it's about time that Nana recognizes Yoon Sung. Also, Jin Pyo will know that Yoon Sung has a girl he loves. This will be especially bad, because Jin Pyo will have no mercy for Nana. I just hope that Jin Pyo doesn't turn into Yoon Sung's enemy. After all, he was the one who took care of Yoon Sung and raised him. He even gave up his own leg for Yoon Sung's sake.
