E-Sens' critically acclaimed album 'The Anecdote' wins 'Album of the Year' at 'Korean Music Awards'

E-Sensdone pulled a masterpiece with his first album!



The rapper was not yet in prison when he penned 'The Anecdote,' which was lauded by the public soon after its release. However, he was incarcerated throughout his nominations and wins for 'Album of the Year' and 'Best Rap & Hip Hop Album' at the '2016 Korean Music Awards.' Though many people dissented the rapper being conferred the 'Album of the Year' honor due to his past drug abuse, the rapper's first album successfully went against the grain.


'The Anecdote' was released back in August of 2015 and managed to earn critical acclaim from numerous music critics and hip hop music focused websites such asRhythmerandHiphopLE.


The album had alsobroken record pre-order salesonHiphopplayawhich is the largest, most popular website dedicated to hip hop music in Korea. Its popularity continued when it dropped digitally and physically on August 27 and 28 respectively, going on to sell 18,000 copies, a number that has never before been achieved in the Korean hip hop genre.
