Entertainers mourn Jo Kyeong-hwan

The passing of esteemed actorJo Kyeong-hwanhas caused quite a ripple online with many entertainers tweeting their condolences.

Jo, 67, died on Saturday after battling liver cancer, and his early departure has shocked those who knew and loved him.

ComedianNam Hee-seoktweeted on Sunday that meeting Jo was one of the "most profound" moments of his life.

"To drink with the guy who I grew up watching on TV was such an experience", said Nam. "To think that he's here no more is heartbreaking".

The actor, dubbed "Tiger Teacher" from his stint on the drama with the same name in the '80s, was also mourned by famed novelistLee Oi-soo.

"Jo Kyeong-hwan, aged 67, left us yesterday. People may leave us physically, but their presence stays with us forever", the writer said.

ComposerYoon Jong-sinalso followed suit by sending his heart out to Jo's family, as did entertainer Jun Hyun-moo.
