Following the news of Mnet’s new music variety show, the first jaw-dropping line-up of “The Call” has been revealed.

“The Call” is a unique and refreshing music show produced by the creators of “I Can See Your Voice.” Launching in May, “The Call” will have some of Korea’s best artists sending love calls to people they want to collaborate with. The team with the best collaboration will get to release an official single.

Shin Seung Hoon, Kim Jong Kook, Kim Bum Soo, and Wheesung will be the first singers to appear on the show.


This will notably be Shin Seung Hoon’s first appearance on a variety show in five years, and he is expected to show his unchanging skill at talking as well as unrivaled musicianship. Viewers are already looking forward to who he will collaborate with and what kind of revolutionary music will be created.

Kim Joon Kook will be appearing on this variety show as a singer rather than a cast member for the first time in a while, further heightening viewers’ expectations. He will showcase his unique voice that can be recognized by anyone.

Kim Bum Soo is well-known for being a chameleon in the music scene and being able to blend well with any kind of genre. He will be able to show all kinds of performances anyone has ever dreamed of. Many are looking forward to seeing who will be the one to receive a love call from the fearless singer.

Although Wheesung is the last one to have debuted out of the four artists appearing on the first episode, Wheesung has amazing, strong vocals to captivate his listeners and is also known for his ability to compose and produce songs, such as Ailee’s “Heaven,” Orange Caramel’s “A-ing,” and Im Chang Jung‘s “Last Applause.”

“The Call” will air on May 4 at 8:10 p.m. KST. The first episode will be broadcasted on both Mnet and tvN at the same time.
