GG subgroup tops charts with 'Holler'

Title track "Holler" from Taetiseo, a subgroup ofGirls' Generation, ranked at the top of music charts at home and abroad just days after the group released its mini-album.

Taetiseo is composed of three members fromGirls' Generation: Taeyeon, 25; Tiffany, 25; andSeohyun, 23.

After the new album kicked off Tuesday at noon on online music websites, the title track ranked No. 1 yesterday on eight local music charts, including Naver Music and Daum Music. The song also got to fourth place on the iTunes Album Chart in the United States.

The group will perform "Holler" tonight at 6 p.m. on cable channel Mnet's "M Countdown".

The achievement comes after the group's previous mini-album, "Twinkle" (2012), reached a similar record worldwide, proving once again the solid footholdGirls' Generationhas established globally.
