[ASKKPOP] Heo Ji Woong dislikes slang + reveals when he was spanked by his mother

On the October 24 edition ofJTBC's 'Witch Hunt',Heo Ji Woongtalked about his dislike of slang and recalled a moment he got into big trouble with his mother in the past.

He said, "I really hate when people make up words like 'some.' It's not great. It was already something that existed. It originally was there. It was just the phrase that didn't exist. It even existed in the Joseon Era. When you create a word like that, it becomes normalized. You feel somewhat like you should do it."

Heo Ji Woong explained further with the example 'wangdda(loner),' which describes someone as a social outcast. He said, "When the word 'wangdda' was created, it became a social problem."It seems he meant that creating words validates what they signify. For example, before 'wangdda' was created, there were no words that could be used to put somebody down for being a social outcast, but now it's a commonly used term.

The cast members also discussed getting in trouble by their parents.Shin Dong Yupstated, "When you were young, were you ever caught by your parents for something you didn't want to get caught for? ...My parents came in when I was watching an inappropriate video, and I accidentally pressed pause. I got in trouble."

Heo Ji Woong answered, "When I was young, the mini-car was popular. In order to buy that, I stole my mom's money and was almost beaten to death. She even dragged me to the front of the police station."
