Here Are The Top K-Pop Stars And More On Tumblr In 2018

Tumblr is sharing a look at the most popular artists in its community through the website’s annual Year in Review!

To find out what users loved the most in 2018, Tumblr used its own “Fandometrics rating system,” which measures searches, original posts, reblogs, and likes on the website. On Tumblr’s overall Top 10 list, BTS reigns at No. 1.

Tumblr has also released a list of 2018’s Top K-Pop on the site. Considering BTS’s overall popularity on the site, they’re naturally No. 1 here as well. EXO comes in No. 2, Stray Kids in No. 3, SEVENTEEN in No. 4, and GOT7 in No. 5.

On the full list below, the numbers show how many spots a name moved up or down compared to last year, while names in bold are making their debut on the list this year.

Tumblr has also put together a ranking of the Top K-pop Stars in 2018, with 21 new names from six different groups. Once again, BTS takes the first seven spots on the list. The only change from 2017 among the members is that Jungkook and Jimin have switched spots, as Jungkook rises from second place to first this year.

The BTS members are followed by members of EXO, NCT, Stray Kids, GOT7, MONSTA X, SEVENTEEN, and SHINee, as well as TWICE’s Momo, who is the only female star in the rankings and comes in at No. 46. The list was expanded from 30 entries to 50 this year.

Over on the list of Top Ships for 2018, BTS is also making their mark. For 2018, Tumblr ranked the 100 most popular “ships,” and BTS is the only Korean group with ships that made the list. Tumblr has expanded its annual rankings from 30 entries to 100, so some new ships have debuted on the list this year.

Jikook (Jimin and Jungkook) takes the No. 4 spot, rising one ranking this year, while Taekook (V and Jungkook) is at No. 19, a six-spot increase from last year. Yoonmin (Suga and Jimin) drops two spots to No. 25, and Yoonseok (Suga and J-Hope) is at No. 39, decreasing nine spots from last year.

Vmin (V and Jimin) enters the list at No. 46, Namjin (RM and Jin) at No. 52, Taegi (V and Suga) at No. 54, and Yoonkook (Suga and Jungkook) at No. 57.
