Hong Jin Hee, “Returning to the Industry after 10 Years, I had no Confidence.”
Actress Hong Jin Hee talked about how it felt to be playing a role in a movie.
She appeared at the press conference for the movie “Sunny” on the 18th at the Seoul Wang Sip Li CGV Theaters.
The movie is about friends who are looking for the members of a high school group “Sunny” for a friend who only has two months left to live due to cancer. It will be an overlap of past and present seen from Yoo Ho Jung’s point of view.
Hong Jin Hee took the role of “curser” Jin Hee in the movie. She said “I think I did just about the same thing Jin Hee did in school. I laughed a lot, and cried a lot. I wasn’t a gangster though.”
She said “It’s my first work in 10 years and I wasn’t confident at all because of that. But I always wanted to meet a great director and the director said ‘I’ll make you a film that you won’t regret’ so I decided to accept. I really like my decision.”
It will be interesting to see if Director Kang Hyung Chul can hit it big with this movie since his first work brought in 8.3 million viewers. Sunny will open in theaters on May 4th.
