It’s a hit if Suzy or Iu Sings?
The songs that the actors from “Dream High” are singing are becoming a big hit.
Dream High is about trainees that are working their way towards achieving their dream so there are a lot of scenes where singing is involved. The singing scenes are getting lots of attention because “Acting-dol” (Idols that act) such as Eunjung, Suzy, IU, Taecyeon, Wooyoung are singing.
The idols that used to be on flashy stages for performances are as if they returned back to their trainee times and are touching the hearts of fans. The old songs that become reborn due to these “acting-dols” are adding to the fun of the drama.
Iu sang Lee Juk’s “Waiting” on the episode of “Dream High” on February 9th.
It was a scene where Pilsook sings a song for Jason who visited her in the hospital to show her feelings. It was a scene where the singer IU got to show off her vocals during the drama.
After watching the episode, Netizens claimed “IU’s voice made Jason and the viewers’ hearts cry with her voice” and “The emotion of the song was present since she is a singer.”
Suzy’s “Winter Child” was able to be released because it was liked so much. “Winter Child” is a song about the childhood memory of Jingook (Taecyeon) that Hyemi (Suzy) has. Hyemi sand this song from the bottom of her heart and was able to get a perfect score on the monthly test.
Fans loved “Winter Child” since the song came out on the drama and were asking for release of the official sound track for 2 days.
Spring Summer Fall Winter’s 1989 song “Someone’s Dream” is also attracting lots of attention. IU/Wooyoung, and Taecyeon/Eunjung both remade this song to fit them and the song became a hit.
Kim Jong Jin said through his twitter “I felt proud and happy that the song from 22 years ago are being sung by idols.”

The staff of “Dream High” was able to convert the questioning of the cast into something unique for the drama. Viewers are always looking forward to the next episode, and the next song.
