JYP Entertainment was the only Korean entertainment agency on the Financial Times’ 2018 list of high-growth companies

JYP Entertainment has been selected as one of the top 1000 companies in the Asia-Pacific region (FT 1000: High-Growth Companies Asia-Pacific) selected by the UK's Global Financial Times (FT) Entertainment was the only company to be included in the 177th.

FT recently announced that it has selected 1,000 companies that are growing rapidly in the Asia Pacific region between 2013 and 2016, together with the market research institute, Statuta, among which the JYP ranks 177th. JYP is the 12th company among the 1,000 companies, including 104 Korean companies, and is the only Korean entertainment company. 

FT ranked 11 regional companies including Korea, Japan, Australia, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore and Taiwan according to sales growth rate from 2013 to 2016. According to the report, JYP ranked 177th with an annual average growth rate of 51.2%. 

"Fortinet has selected tens of thousands of companies in the Asia Pacific region as candidates for the FT1000, based on a survey of its database and other public sources. The candidates were encouraged to apply to this sector by mail, e-mail and telephone. "The support was provided from August 14 to November 15 last year. In addition, "We searched the official sales data of more than 4,000 public corporations and found an appropriate entry company."

JYP is active all the way from the existing artists such as 2PM and resin to GOD7 which is grown as the representative idol group in Korea, DAY6 which is becoming the representative band of K pop band and the new group Stray Kids which debuted in March this year. It shows the growth. According to this ranking announced by FT, the growth of JYP is recognized in the global market. 

JYP has a market capitalization of 756.5 billion won as of October 18, and it is steadily maintaining its position as the second largest entertainment company in Korea.
