Joo Won to star in 'My Sassy Girl - Drama', his first period drama since his debut and last drama before his military enlistment

Joo Wonwill challenge his first period drama role in 'My Sassy Girl - Drama'.

An associate withJoo Won's agency Sim Entertainment told The Fact on March 29th, "Joo Wonwill star in 'My Sassy Girl - Drama'" and "It is true he will play the male lead, but his character will be different from Kyeon-woo of the original movie".

His agency added, "Except for the confirmation on his cast, no other details including the airtime and the premiere date have been decided".

'My Sassy Girl - Drama' is a youth period drama and will be produced on 100% pre-filming system.Joo Wonhas been starring in various movies and dramas so far. However, this is his first role in a period drama.

Meanwhile, on March 11th,Joo Wonpassed the qualification exam for coscripted police force by the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency, as a member of special promotion unit. He is on standby to enlist.
