Jung Joon Young's band Drug Restaurant denies accusations of plagiarism

The bandDrug Restaurant fronted by singerJung Joon Young are denying the recent accusations of plagiarism concerning theirlatest song"Mistake".

On July 28, about two months after the release of "Mistake", Irish indie rock bandTwo Door Cinema Club posted to Twitter referring to the song. Two Door Cinema Club wrote,"Nice to see we've inspired someone,"adding a link to Drug Restaurant's track.

Netizens are now comparing "Mistake" to the Irish band's songs "Someday" and "What You Know" as there are similar guitar riffs in the tracks. Drug Restaurant have denied that they've plagiarized Two Door Cinema Club, however, stating,"The overall planning and vision of the song was by memberJo Dae Min, who really respects Two Door Cinema Club. The song is influenced by them, but it's not plagiarism."
