Jung Joon Young goes out of his way just to play 'Pokémon Go' and become a Pokémon master

SingerJung Joon Youngwas spotted all the way in Sokcho, which is around a two hour drive northeast of Seoul, just to increase his chances at catching some Pokémon on 'Pokémon Go'!

Jung Joon Young is known to be quite the avid gamer, and he has admitted himself that he could stay in all day playing games. However, it seems Jung Joon Young was compelled outdoors to play 'Pokémon Go,' the latest craze among Pokémon fans and gamers alike. Because the game uses GPS data from Google Maps, which is banned in South Korea, many people in Korea can't play the game. However, people discovered that the app works in Sokcho and many people have flocked there to play the game.

Jung Joong Young, frustrated that he couldn't find any Pokémon in the Seoul metro area, had vented on Instagram, "I wandered Hongdae until I could find a Pokémon. Please let GPS work in Seoul. I'm so irritated that I'm about to head to Sokcho." Though he deleted this post soon afterwards, enough fans still saw it and wondered whether the singer would really show up in Sokcho.

And indeed, Jung Joon Yooung drove all the way to Sokcho, and fans who were lying in wait swarmed him, unable to contain their excitement. Being the good-natured, humorous guy that he is, Jung Joon Young interacted with the fans, even asking some of them where the best spots to catch Pokémon are.

Jung Joon Young made another post on Instagram more recently, writing, "I would always be asked this kind of question for interviews..'What's your goal for the year?'..And I'd always give the typical answer that I want to live a healthy life but now I've gleaned my true answer to that question..I..will become a Pokémon master."

I guess fans should see Jung Joon Young out and about in daylight more now, what with his new life goal!
