Kara’s Three Members, “Only Got Paid $860 in 6 Months”

The three members of Kara that requested for termination of contract, Han Seungyeon, Jung Nicole, and Kang Jiyoung requested for the court to look into something.

The three members asked for the confirmation of termination of contract.

They said “We are terminating the contract because the entertainment company has not given us the services that were promised in the contract. Since the representative fell from a stroke in March of last year, we haven’t gotten any promised management services as well as any entertainment services. They also did not confirm with us when signing the contracts in Japan and didn’t give any information afterwards either.”

The three of them said that they were overworked and did not get sufficient pay.

They said “Last year Han Seungyeon hurt her waist but she was forced to work even though she needed rest and treatment. Also, they forced a manager that couldn’t speak Japanese when we were in Japan, which basically was like throwing us out to a different country.”

“DSP also said that the albums made about 41,000,000 won but it cost them 39,000,000 won. This was an unusual amount.

“Even during Lupin, DSP only paid us 860,000 won in 6 months, 140,000 won a month. (140,000 won = 140 dollars assuming 1dollar =1000 won)
