Kim Hyun-joong, "We want to raise the child"

Kim Hyun-joongand his associates have made it clear that he wants to raise the child.

Kim Hyun-joong's legal advisor, lawyer Lee Jae-man said, "The defendant (Kim Hyun-joong) himself wants to raise the child", during the first day of the hearing for the paternity confirmation lawsuit filed by 'A', which took place at the Seoul Family Court on February 26th.

During the trial,Kim Hyun-joongand his ex-girlfriend 'A' confronted each other over child-rearing alimony and the right of property in regards to A's child, whose paternity had been already confirmed.Kim Hyun-joong's legal team also raised questions against A's plaintiff standing.

The court said, "The court is also reviewing the matter with questions raised about it", however "Since the court already ordered the clarification of property, the defendant should follow the order separately from the raised question about plaintiff standing".

The court has decided to resume the trial on April 8th.

Meanwhile,Kim Hyun-joong's legal team and his ex-girlfriend met face to face for the first time on this day since the paternity confirmation concluded in December 2015 last year. The forensic pathology lab of Seoul National University College of Medicine notifiedKim Hyun-joongthat the result of the paternity test showed 99.9999% as the possibility of paternity between him and A's child.
