Kim Bum will begin his mandatory service this month!

On April 12, his agency King Kong by Starship revealed, “After being summoned by the nation, actor Kim Bum will fulfill his mandatory military duty as a Korean man on April 26. Due to health problems, Kim Bum has been assigned to be a public service worker.”

The agency explained, “Kim Bum has been receiving continuous treatment since his early 20s due to a hereditary illness. In order to recover, he put much attention into taking care of his health through medication and exercising, but he was assigned to be a public service worker.

The actor will begin basic military training on April 26, but he has decided to not reveal his enlistment location. After completing training, he will continue as a public service worker for about two years.
