Korean Movies that were Released Earlier this Month have Failed to Receive Much Attention

Drawing back the trend of recent years, Korean movies happen to be significantly less popular than Hollywood movies at the domestic box office so far this year.

"No Tears for the Dead" and "Man on High Heels" are Korean films which were launched previously this month which starred well-established actors like Jang Dong-gun and Cha Seung-won. However they have failed to obtain much attention.

According for the Korean Film Council on Tuesday, they have up to now captivated 570,000 and 310,000 viewers respectively, which pales in contrast on the Hollywood action movie "Edge of Tomorrow", which was launched early this month and has gotten three million viewers.
