[ASKKPOP] LOCO and producer WallE apologize for using Islamic prayer in 'Act Serious'
RapperLOCOis in some controversy after using the Islamic prayer (azan) in one of his mini-album tracks,"Act Serious."
In Islamic tradition, azan is a call for prayer and worship sung by themuezzin, or mosque leader, during certain times of the day. Some Muslims who discovered the track, found LOCO's use of the azan in his song disrespectful.
On November 28, LOCO re-tweeted an apology from producerWallEand apologized himself for any offense he had caused. The producer also apologized to the rapper, stating that LOCO was not even aware of the azan sample being used in the track.
