Lee Moon-se to bring out new album

Singer-songwriter Lee Moon-se, who was one of the big names in music in the 1980s and 1990s, will release a new studio album in a few months, according to multiple industry insiders.

"He's been preparing for this album for so long because it is going to be his first in 10 years", said an official who works for Lee.

"He's working on it now, but we can't give you an exact date for the release of the album".

The last time the 56-year-old singer released an album was back in 2002.

Since then, Lee has been releasing live concert albums and sang songs featured on the original soundtracks of a few TV dramas.

But he has focused more on holding concerts rather than releasing albums.

Since Lee has many hits, several of his songs have been covered by younger musicians. One of these is "When Love Passes", which was recently sang by soloistIU.

Lee was diagnosed with thyroid cancer last year. He went on an overseas tour before undergoing surgery for the disease last July.
