MIUCCIA PRADA
The history of Prada dates back to 1910 when Mario Prada opened a luxury travel bag store in Milan for the royal family and nobility. The brand take a new turn whent the granddaughter of Mario Prada, Miuccia inherited the family business since 1978. In 1985, she was looking for material to replace the leather and she finally discovered parachute tent Pocono nylon to make bags. This was phenomenal and people all over the world loved it.
Since 1989, Prada presented women's fashion line in Milan Fashion Week. In 1993, she launched the second line, Mui Mui (the name she made for her imaginary childhood friend), in 1994, the men's wear, and then showcased sports lines in 1998. It reformed into a total brand including beauty line with perfume brands.
Miuccia enjoys doing the bold experiments and challenging herself to overcome stereotypes. Not like most designers, she is a Politics major and her hobby is Paenteomaim. The combination of sophisticated sense and intelligent charm makes her collection look even more brilliant every season among leading the contemporary designers. Nylon parka, knee-length full skirt, gabardine military outer are prime examples.
In 2004 feature her as the designer worthy of noticing if you want to be a trend-setter. One the the best designer, she is also passionate about the art charity work.
In 2012, she displayed the exhibition Elsa Schiaparelli and Miuccia Prada's Impossible Conversations atMetropolitan Museum's Costume Institute. In March 2013, nominated her one of the best dresser, in December of that year she was also awarded International Designer of the Year by the Association of British fashion.
