[ASKKPOP] Man who scammed T-ara for millions of KRW captured by police

A scammer who allegedly embezzled millions of KRW () fromT-araunder the guise of helping them hold a concert in Japan was captured by police after evading arrest for two years. 

The Seoul Gangnam Police Department revealed on October 7 that they have brought in 41-year-oldJungfor allegations of fraud. According to the police, Jung is suspected of disappearing with around 200 million KRW (~$174,000 USD) which he received from 'A', the former president of T-ara's label. But when the concert fell through without ever coming to fruition, 'A' reported Jung to the authorities. 



An arrest warrant had been issued for Jung, and he was finally caught this past October 4 by undercover detectives from the Gwanak Police Department

Jung, an alleged gangster with ties to mobsters in the Gwangju area, was discovered to have been going back and forth between Gwangju and Seoul after finding a place to live in Seoul's Nonhyeon District. A police rep relayed, "We have additional investigations to conduct relating to the cash transactions so we discharged him after confirming his guarantor. After further investigations, we plan to prove the charges against him.
