[ASKKPOP] Mystic Entertainment addresses the possible dangers of its artists performing in Japan's Fukushima area

When fans voiced their concern for the artists' well-being in the upcoming Fukushima concert, the agency revealed throughKim Ye RimandEddy Kim's fan sites that there was nothing to be concerned over as they "checked the issues of safety concerns before deciding to perform."

August 2 marks the 50th anniversary of the landmark bilateral treaty between Korea and Japan which will be commemorated with a festival in Fukushima. This is the first festival celebrating Japan-Korea relations since the earthquake and tsunami disaster that affected the Tohoku area back in 2011. The Mystic artists to take the stage at this festival include Kim Ye Rim, Eddy Kim, among others, who have previously toured various areas in Japan.

Mystic uploaded a statement that went, "The music festival is an event celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Japan-Korea treaty, with the aim of consoling and healing the Korean residents living in Fukushima."

Regarding the safety concerns, the agency stated, "We carefully examined the safety concerns after receiving the offer [perform at the festival]. Through what we checked with the Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute, we concluded that there were no serious issues."

The agency aded, "Fukushima's power plants are a sensitive topic so we completely understand the worry and concern of our fans. However, we thoroughly consult everything with our artists before progressing with anything, keeping the artists' interests as our top priority."
