What was your favorite place of them all today?

Definitely Deoksugung Palace. It was my first time and there were lots to see in the huge ancient palace. I might visit again later some time with my mom.

Which is your favorite spot in Seoul, then?

In fact, I haven’t been to that many places since I start working at the early age. Recently, while I was shooting the program, ‘Stylelog’, me and my cohosts went to Bukchon which has its unique atmosphere different from Gangnam area. I usually hang around Apgujung or Itaewon, but I thought I need to go to Bukchon more often.

People recognize you on the street?

No. Not at all. I am glad if people notice me on the street. Otherwise, I fell a bit sad. So I try to wear makeup whenever I go out so that they can easily notice.

Last year, you published the book ‘Young Travel of Orange Caramel’ The readers were surprised and pleased with the sudden publication. How did it start?

We don’t have much personal time to travel so us 3 members of Orange Caramel decide to work on travel related project and started to look for places in Seoul and Jeonju that are worthy of visiting. It was just fun to eat and go for sightseeing.

You go overseas a lot. You must been to more tourist attractions overseas than in Korea.

I go to Japan often and East Asia. I have more spare time while I work overseas so I try to go visit more places. In Tokyo, there are a lot of popular restaurant. I like the iron plate dishes, Okonomiyaki, in particular. A little multi brand shop in Shibuya and Opening Ceremony store are the must-see site for me.

Where is the most memorable place where you have been to with your friends?

I haven’t been on a trip with my friends yet. Every year, I get to take a break from work but I cannot afford to plan a travel because of little time. I really want to go on a vacation to Tokyo with my close friends.

Which might be your next travel destination?

I want to visit San Francisco. I saw the movie, A wolf dog, when I was young. The movie was shoot in San Francisco. I fell in love the scenery of the movie. How fantastic it will be if I can see it in person.

I hope you can visit the place this year. Today is the fisrt day the show ‘Roommate’ airs. It must have been a hard choice to make as a member of girl group.

Actually, I did not hesitate at all. Other variety type TV shows provide scripts or list of questions in advance. It made me feel a bit awkward. I uttered the scripted comments rather reluctantly and that made me look unfriendly. So, I thought it might be the best chance to show the real side of my personality.

What’s the real side of my personality?

I do tend to get shy at first. I talk a lot and like goofying around. I am rather down to earth than being conceited. Lizy and I have a lot in common, so to speak. But I get shier in front of the camera so I could not be able to show my charater well to the public. Now I got a lot better with Camera shoot so I feel more comfortable.

How is it like to live with 11 other stranagers?

I did not really know who I am going to live with before it was announced on the internet. I didn’t know any of the 10 other members so they are all nice and friendly in person.

Who is the closest to you?

I became friends with Hong SuHyun at first. Now I am close friends with Joh Seho. He’s really caring and fun. And, Shin SungWoo, sometimes I call him ‘mom’ because he has such caring personality and he is the best cook in the house.

On an American movie website, you were ranked second among the Beautiful women in the world. Since then, you are invited more often to TV Shows.

That’s true. I could believe it at first. Personally it is a great honor but also a bit of pressure.

I heard you will be starting your acting lessons. It must be very different for you as an actress.

Yes. I was suggested for many roles in films or dramas but I did not really grasp the chance. To be honest, I was not ready enough to take the resposibilties. I did not work hard to get the chance. But recently I started to have more interests in acting. I believe if I prepare myself for acting career I will be able to get the chance.

You are co-hosting the show, Stylelog. People don’t seem to be familiar with you emceeing a show. That might make you feel sad.

At first there are many negative critics from viewers. I try to keep the upbeat vibe to entertain my co-host and lighten up the shooting scene because my co-hosts are more reserved and calm. The staffs also want me to show the bright side of me. So it makes me confused whether I only need to show the calm, reserved and chic side of me.

It has been 5 years since your debut. What has changed?

I think I am more settled and learn how to enjoy my work.

What’s your goal of this year?

My parents are the source of my strength to keep me working. Sometimes it worried me they live apart. So, I want to buy a house that all 3 of us can live together. Hopefully with big windows, which my mom wishes to have so bad.
