One netizen pointed out that while Chorong receivedmuch criticism for her spelling mistake, Yugyeom received little to no backlash. The netizen further noted that Chorong had posted the hashtag on a fan cafe where only registered members could view the things she posts, as compared to Yugyeom, who had written the tag on his Instagram for all the world to see. Additionally, Chorong had immediately fixed the typo and even wrote an apology for not being more careful with the spelling.
The netizen then wrote, "I'm not trying to emphasize the fact that Yugyeom also did the same thing but just wondering why Chorong is being cursed out to no end while Yugyeom who made the same exact mistake and no one is making a big deal out of it. If you are going to diss them, then both of them should be equally criticized for their mistakes; if you're going to criticize just one party then don't criticize either of them. They made the same mistake but one gets cursed out while the other gets no attention...what is this."
