Nike, 'On Air Sneaker Design Program' Final Vote ... 'Seoul 3 candidates'

The birth of Nike Air Sneakers, inspired by major cities around the world, is at hand. 

Nike will hold a vote to select the final design for the Nike: On Air Sneaker Design Program in six cities including Seoul, Paris, London, New York, Shanghai, and Tokyo.

Through Nike's On Air Sneaker Design Program in March, Nike will be launching AirMax, inspired by the unique cultural characteristics of each city, with a diverse group of people who know the atmosphere of the city in six cities around the world. I had the opportunity to design the future.

The judges, who are Nike Designers and Influencers representing each city's culture, gathered three works by city among the thousands of design works received through several design workshops and selected 18 designs as finalists did. The final six nominated designs will be born in 3D rendering.

The representative design of Seoul is Air Max 98 'Metro' of Park Jun-oo, who was inspired by Seoul's huge subway system, and the air max of participant Kim Won-na, who depicted Seoul's past and future through intense contrast, Air Max 97 'Neon Seoul', which was inspired by 98 'Ulsoo' and a neon sign, depicts the night of Seoul, a passionate city, was selected as the finalist candidate.

The vote will allow voters to vote once per day on the most preferred designs of 18 finalists in cities like Seoul, Paris, London, New York, Shanghai, and Tokyo, Korean time). Anyone who is a Nike.com member can vote for the best air max design.

"Six final designs representing each city will be released on May 15th and will go into production later on," a Nike official said.
