A handwritten letter he posted onto his Twitter on August 24 explained, "I was challenged by my colleagues actorSeo Ha Joon, soccer athleteLee Bum Young, andJACE's vocalistSeunghyun, which is how I came to participate in the 'Ice Bucket Challenge.'
I am currently recovering [from throat surgery], so I am greeting everyone through a donation and handwritten letter instead, but I am happy I can still participate in the campaign this way. I pray that everyone in the world fighting the disease will gain strength."
