Outdoor festival planned at Sejong arts center for 30 days

Sejong Center for Performing Arts` outdoor festival "Gwanghwamun Culture Plaza" will begin Thursday and last for 30 days.

People can enjoy various performances here at 6:30 p.m. during weekdays (except for Monday) and 4 p.m. on weekends. The festival will be held at a special stage in front of the Sejong arts center`s central stairs, for 28 times in total. The first performance will be played Thursday by Seoul Metropolitan Traditional Music Orchestra, which will be followed by classic dance, a cappella, brass band, circus and acoustic performances.

On Children`s Day on May 5, performance is held twice at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. for families coming with children. Kim Violin, who is famous for popular music and drama background music, will play at the 2 p.m. performance. "Marine Boy" concert will open at 4 p.m. to please the audience with juggling, mime, comedy and circus.

On Parents` Day on May 8, Liedertafel Chorus, Korea`s leading amateur chorus that won first prize at the KBS "The Harmony" chorus tournament in 2014, will appear on stage. Liedertafel Chorus has fathers as members. If it rains, the performance will be cancelled. Performance schedule can be found at Sejong Center for Performing Arts homepage (www.sejongpac.or.kr).
