P.A.M. References Legendary Musician Sun Ra in SS18 Collection

Perks and Mini are gearing up to release their new SS18 collection this week, here providing us with the official lookbook for the range, captured by Rasa Juskeviciute, modeled by Novaé Lita, and styled by Shauna Toohey. Dubbed “Planetary Movement,” the assortment references Sun Ra, the Space Age composer, performer, poet, and philosopher.

According to P.A.M., Sun Ra’s “vision and energy influenced everything around him, like the pure light of the stars.”

Within the collection, P.A.M. in turn references its move from Australia to Paris roughly two years ago, courtesy of the PAMRIS graphic. We thus find silhouettes adorned with all-over prints, while striped suits give a chic appearance, and stretch fabrics are prevalent throughout. Highlighting the array is a special P.A.M. x Suicoke sandal collaboration.

P.A.M.’s SS18 “Planetary Movement” collection is due in-store and online Friday, March 16.
