Pop normally dominates the Korean music scene, but among other genres, EDM is slowly inching its way into the mainstream. And with this new show coming onto TV, K-pop stars and EDM are coming together!
There's an upcoming variety show called 'Mash Up' with a star-studded line-up!
SBS MTVstated, "Seo In Young,Girls' Generation'sHyoyeon,MBLAQ'sMir, andAOA'sHyejeongwill take part in 'Mash Up' and put their pride on the line by competing with each other in DJ-ing."
They added, "The person to host the show is anUntouchable'sSleepy."
The show is about raising up the K-pop stars into global, EDM artists who excel at DJ-ing and performance with the help of the country's top DJs, performances teams, and composing teams.
The first episode airs on SBS MTV on September 21 at 11pm KST!
